My little guy doesnt smell that good, is there any type of soap that i can buy at a local store that will be safe for him? Either clean wipes or something i can put in his bath?

I use baby shampoo and a soft toothbrush. Keep of his head and don't let him drink the soapy water.

You need to determine what's making him smell bad. If you're using repti-carpet or something similar, you may need to wash it more often, or look into switching to paper towels.

In addition to using the beardie-approved soap, you could lightly brush his scales with a soft-bristled toothbrush, to ensure that there aren't any residues in between the scales.

Yes i do use repti carpet, how should i wash it? And usually i scrub him lightly with a wet cue tip, especially now that he is shedding.

You can wash it by hand in a sink or in the clothes washer on the delicate cycle, hang to dry. A q-tip won't really do much to get gunk or dirt off scales. Get a soft toothbrush and give him a good scrubbing, just don't get to rough.

That's pretty much why we switched to tile. The carpet needs to be washed thoroughly at least once a week (in my opinion). We use a soft baby tooth brush during bath time. Our boy seems to really enjoy it.

Like a previous poster mentioned http://www.beardeddragon.co has all natural soap you can use. You just can't let your beardie drink it or soak in it...though I haven't ever used it.

It depends on how large your viv is and if you want to cover all of it. We bought pieces and trimmed them from Home Depot. We use slate tile. For our 40g breeder it was under $30 :) We chose to layer them over paper towels to absorb moisture and to make cleaning easier. So we didn't glue them together or anything like that. They come out in sections but cover the entire floor.

I put my guy on the hard wood floor some times, and he doesnt get a lot of traction which makes it harder for him to crawl around would that be the same with tile? Will he be able to catch his food? And how often would i have to clean the tile (taking the tile out and scrubbing it)?

Natural slate tile has greater traction than ceramic or porcelain. You would remove the tile for cleaning when soiled. Some folks grout the tile in the tank. Then you would spot clean. You'd do a thorough tank cleaning on the same schedule for either way.

I went to habitat for humanity restore and got my tile for $1 per square foot. I only have tile over the back part of the cage, the front is shelf liner. Gives different textures for him to walk on.

I didn't glue or grout my tile either. I like to be able to remove it for a good scrubbing if it needs it. Most of the time, I can just wipe the tile down. If there is a especially nasty poo or it gets between the crack, it has to be removed and cleaned.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
