Silkworm

I've heard silkworms are great! I really want to try using them with Ra. How many should I feed him in a day so I know how many to order? Thanks so much

How much depends on his age and size. If you are positive that he can eat them, start with some 3 or 4 a day. They are relatively low in fat and high in proteins, which is ok. If he wants to eat more, you can give 5 or 6 a day. However, since they are quite large, I think 4 will do.

On the website I can order small/medium or large. He is exactly 20 in. long but on the skinny side and he's a year and about 2 months old.

Then go for the large ones. They have soft skin and haven't heard of biting silkies, so it is ok. Keep in mind that silkworms eat a lot. If possible (and when you order a large amount), see if you can order some food (chow) with it to keep the silkies alive. Or try with a small amount first so you can see if he likes them.
