I looked to, gut couldnt find anything...
Hmm, its hard to explain, but the shell rises up in the middle, instead of being flat, it a a bump.
What kind of turtle do you have?
I've got 2 red eared slider turtles. I think they might have that. The local pet stores in my city suck and have no idea what they're doing. i rarely see UVB bulbs in most stores (asides from the big chain stores), and they told me all the turtles need are these little brown pellets. Their shells are pointed and one looks like it has like...levels i guess I can describe is that way...yeah. Like a pyramid with steps (grooves) on each patch....ill post a picture when I get around to it
Pyramiding is where the scutes of a turtle or tortoise rises like a pyramid instead of being smooth and round. I THINK it's more commonly seen in tortoises. My Leopard has slight pyramiding from humidity struggles from when she was younger. Some get BAD. The bad ones are somehow forbidden. The pyramiding is something that can't be reversed. It's sad.
If you can get around to showing a pic that would be great. I never can find pyramiding examples for water turtles either. I have two painted turtles and I think that my younger turtle may have slight pyramiding but am not sure. Like to see what it looks like in semi aquatic turtles.
