screening question

We are almost done our enclosure, except for the doors.

What type of screening do you all recommend?
We seen galvanized hardware cloth that we thought would work great, but i thought i read somewheres that galvanized is a big no no.

That would depend where and what you are using it on... If anything that is around water or needs to be cleaned then no it will rust... Is this just for your doors? if so it should be fine but just remember the holes are probably gonna be big and your feeders will get out

so its not toxic to them? i thought that was why it was a no no

I do not know the answer to that, but i'm sure he or she could cut them self if trying to get out might try and fit through the spaces or climb up and escape so you might wanna think about the possibilities first...These are just my thoughts tho IMO go glass or aluminum screening

I used mesh chicken wire. Bought it by the roll at tractor supply. It has holes small enough to keep feeders in and works great for ventilation. Does not seem to rust at all (had it almost 2 years) and it works great for ventilation.

Home Depot has an awesome aluminum screen that works well and fits standard window screen frame.

Galvanized isn't toxic, but it will rust. You can get plastic coated mesh that is much better, and it comes in smaller hole sizes as well.
