I figured I would post some pics of Sarth...even though he hasn't been eating very well the past month he still finds every opportunity to be cute! I think I might just keep adding pics to this thread along with my blog, we will see!

The most recent ones are at the top.

I thought this was adorable...he was kind of lounging against the glass, looking at me like "what?!"

Just trying out a close-up of his face...it's hard to get good pics during the weekdays when the sun is going down by the time I get home

Morning stretches, as usual :)

Him looking *really* grumpy sitting in the sun on the back of our recliner. And I put his tail like that, lol

My husband took this

I did not put him like this, lol. I should have entered it in this months photo competition!

Him still being really mad from the vet's visit the night before. He looked so hilarious, all puffed up with the black beard. I started petting him and he deflated while managing to look confused.

Just looking cute. This was right around when he stopped eating about a month ago.

Your new girl is going to have alot of love showered on her, for sure. And yes, she'll make up growth once she's got your full attention. She's beautiful and will work in just fine.

So Daedles decided to lay her eggs. Wonder if she's going to lay them right away or dig for a few days. Keep me posted. Hopefully Starling won't get into eggs for a few years LOL

I'm so glad for you! You're going to have your hands full again!

She really is a beautiful girl.

Hope those eggs come quickly for Daedles...

Well lucky us, Daedles decided to lay tonight. She wanted in and out of the lay box, but Nate and I had to leave for a bit so I put a light on her and put the box in the bathroom to keep the cats out. Came home and she was about done. So 25 eggs this time around.

I gave her a big dose of calcium, a bath, and some electrolytes. She ate a handful of greens and since I'm out of feeders I gave her a few bites of chicken. Feeders won't be here until Thursday so I'll have to go get her some tomorrow.

So glad that's over before Starling got here! I brought the other tank back in and set the lights up. Tomorrow I'll clean the rest of Daedles stuff and switch her back over, then do a full clean of Scully's old tank so it's ready for Starling.

Just a couple days now!

I'm so glad Daedles got the eggs done. Only 2 days, going to go fast. Can't wait to hear how Starling settles in your place!

Starling is home! She arrived safe and sound just a couple hours ago. The FedEx guy was great, I heard him at the front desk (my office is right across) "Ummm, I have a 'live harmless lizard' here for a Jennifer?" and my coworker is looking at him with this smile that says "you're kidding right?" So I came out and said "Yep, that's mine", haha.

I unboxed her at my desk, she was fine, chilly of course (and of course a couple co-workers watching). Right as I was getting ready to leave the USPS guy showed up with my feeders as well, so I was able to bring them home too. I tucked Starling under my cardigan and she rode on my shoulder on the way home. Got her in the tank and she got to basking. A couple gapes but nothing too bad! I put some reptiworms in a dish and some collards and butternut, none of which she was interested in, but she did eat a small hornworm off my finger

I left the tank top off. The cats were asleep when I got home and put her in the tank, and then were way too excited by the 2 new boxes I brought home, so they didn't even notice her. Hoping Daedles doesn't see her and start spazzing out right away!

So she should have a good 4 hours of peace to settle in until Nate gets home. I'm meeting a friend after work for drinks so I'll be a bit later. Tomorrow she'll get a good soak.

Anyway, here she is!

Well she seems to be settling in ok! I took her out when I got home yesterday since it was almost lizard bed time, so she had a good cuddle/sleep session on my chest. No gaping at me this morning. She ate another couple small horns, and chased down/ate about 15 or so repti worms. She hasn't quite figured out the metal dish yet I think, since she won't eat them from that.

I weighed her and she came in at 190g, forgot to measure her though, but the breeder had her at 14.5 inches on the website. That's about how big Scully was when she was 4 months old! But Scully was not normal, she was always a big girl and grew so fast. We'll have to see how Starling catches up.

After work she'll get a good soak. If it's sunny I may put her in a tupperware or tote and bring her outside. The only harness I have is most likely way too big for her, but I have another one coming that should get here on Monday and hopefully fit. If she seems comfy and the weather is good next week, she can come to the bar with us.

And Daedalus definitely knows there's a new dragon in the house. She's been glass dancing, so Nate had to put up an extra piece of paper on Starling's tank.

Anyway she is a sweetie, I'm glad I have two girls again :)

She found the warmest spot in the house! Haha.

I'm glad she's settling in so well for you. Eating right off the bat is a good sign, too, and she's a good weight. Looks like Muldar has decided she's ok to be beside. She's so colourful!

Well the weather finally cleared up here, and we had a really fun weekend!

Friday evening, Nate and I get the animals outside. I got a tote for Starling, since I wasn't sure how flighty she'd be. She was doing pretty well, so we were just hanging out and enjoying some beer, when all of the sudden we hear a loud quacking noise and we see this female mallard duck flapping/flopping around. The dog immediately of course is like "OMG MUST CHASE!" so we catch him and throw him inside. I get a towel while Nate catches the duck, then we wrap her up, she had a busted wing. Long story short, we dropped her off at a Wildlife Rehab center. Hopefully she'll be ok!

Saturday was gorgeous. Nate ran a 5k in the morning, then we hit up brunch and got home around 11. I took both the girls outside. Starling did fine, not scared at all. Daedalus is not impressed at all with the new girl in town, so ever since then there's been a lot of head bobbing and black bearding  Starling is completely oblivious to these signs, she won't even wave back!
I went with Nate and his buddy disc golfing, course is about 1.5 hours worth. Brought Starling along, and she did great! I brought the little pack in case she got stressed but ended up not needing it.

Sunday was nice again, we did get some thunderstorms but not until the evening.

Starling has been doing good, she picks at the reptis, but gobbles up the horn worms, of course  at least they are a healthy feeder. She's been eating a small handful of collards out of my hand as well. The horns are finally starting to get big, so I gave the bigger ones to Sarth and Daeds this morning. I have 3 cups worth, so that should keep everyone happy.

Anyway, lots of pics!

Nate and the duck

Daeds makes me laugh, bobbing and black bearding and Starling just ignoring her. I loved all the pics, especially with Nate and the duck, hope she`ll be ok at the Wildlife Rehab.

Starling has sure become comfy in her new home, loved that pic of the sexy legs. And doing so well outside, too. Mine had lots of sun over the weekend, too, they all got their turns outside, even this am.

Yes she is doing great. Pounding horn worms like no one's business, lol. The horns finally started getting to the crazy big size this morning so I moved 3 of the 4 cups into the cooler with a couple ice packs, hopefully that should slow them down, otherwise Sarth and Daeds will just be balls with feet when I try to feed them as many as they'll eat before the worms eat all their food

Starling sleeps well with me too, I woke up this morning and she was resting her little head on my arm :love5:

The duck didn't make it, unfortunately :( I e-mailed them yesterday about her and they replied and said the wing was too damaged to fix, so they humanely euthanized her. Poor thing, but I'm glad we brought her there, better that than landing in the road and getting hit by a car, or attacked by a neighborhood dog/cat.

It's another nice day today, but Nate and I are diving this evening so no time to get anyone outside, unfortunately. Then thunderstorms for the next couple days, but hopefully by Friday it starts clearing up again.

I found a couple more pics I never uploaded!

My sweeties

A brief 20 minute thunderstorm on Sunday sent us inside from basking in the sun outside. Funny how fast the weather can move sometimes.

Deb, hope the egg business with both your girls goes fine! Sounds like Cierra is going to have a lot of eggs...Scully laid 39 once >.<

Puff is making eggs again, so she's seeing the vet next Tuesday for a checkup & taking Gabriel in at the same time, he has something strange on his lip. My vet said if she doesn't have a huge amount of eggs, she'll still do the surgery, I need to know in advance because if she can't then I have to cancel my vacation days to work & move them to a different month  What a mess that will be, with summer vacation coming around. If she does lay this clutch, this will be #6 since September. It's like she's non-stop now.

Cierra is getting bigger every day. Tomorrow I have an appt, so going to get her a laybox with soil to do with it (non fertilized, if I can find it). I always found potting soil good for Sweetie and Issy, hopefully Cierra will like it, too. If I'm not home with Puff, I don't know what I'm going to do with her, won't be home to get her in the box during the day and her tank isn't big enough to put one in...we'll see how that goes.

I'm just loving your pics of Starling and everyone else!
Sorry about the duck but you did the right thing.

I can't believe it's only been 8 days since Starling came home. She acclimated so quickly it feels like we've had her for months!

Weather here went from beautiful to icky. Thunderstorms and rain the last couple days have kept everyone inside. Tomorrow looks to be gorgeous, 72 and mostly sunny, but then it's back to rain and chilly weather Sun-Weds. So we'll be sure to get out tomorrow, and perhaps Starling can go on her first brew pub visit.

Hope everyone has a good mother's day! My mom is heading to Hawaii, lucky her  so we will likely do the usual thing here of going to the cabin for the day. With the icky weather I'll probably leave the girls at home.

And a couple pics, of course!

So how's Daeds reacting to Starling, is she getting used to her? I can see Muldar sure is, loved those pictures!

I think she is slowly getting used to her, yea. Sometimes, like in the above picture, she's way more concerned about getting sun than she is chasing off the new dragon. Other times if she's on the couch and sees Starling hanging out nearby, she'll either headbob and/or make a beeline over to her to attack. Of course she never even gets close, lol, and of course, Starling is still oblivious too all of this, not a single return bob or wave from her yet. Hopefully by the end of the summer they'll be able to sit on the couch together unsupervised like Daeds and Scully, we'll see though!

Daeds, being the Queen Bee, would be doing this, but you're right, hopefully by the end of the summer they'll be best buds. Puff gets along with Cierra but she has a habit of trying to sit on Cierra all the time, just to show she's the Queen Bee, I guess. So they're not allowed out without me watching them.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
