Sanitizing a new/used tank

I bought a tank used, the person had a bearded dragon as well, what would be the best way to sanitize it? I have another beardie on the way I just want it to be ready for her when she arrives.

just give it a good wash. take it outside and hose it down, get a sponge clean off the glass nice and well with some dish soap and let it dry. you can use windex on the outside windows but dont put any lights right on it if you do, give it some time to dry off/air out. that should be fine.

The tank was really filthy so I decided to bleach it, after, I washed it with soap twice then rinsed it with water another 2 more times just to be safe. I didn't wanna use bleach but I was worried about parasites, just wanted to be safe I have 2 other Beardies I bought from pet stores turns out thee both had parasites. I would advise anyone to never get a dragon from pet stores they don't give a crap about them, anyways Ty for the help

I know the reply is a little late, but you did fine using bleach. Just make sure to rinse really well and give it time to dry and get all the smell out.
I think most people on here use about 1 part clorox to 10 parts water or something close to that.
