Hello,

You can use polyurethane to properly seal the wood after staining. You will need to let it off gas though for a week or so, in order for it to properly cure & dry before putting any lights into it. Once it is completely cured & dried, it will be perfectly safe. Have you already stained the wood?

No. I have almost got everything built. Tomorrow I am going to start sanding and working on the wiring. I guess I'll figure out the electrical while I'm waiting for the stain to cure. I just ordered the glass today and it will be ready to pick up on monday. The inside wont need staining because its all formica that has been attached to the wood about a month ago. So the stain will really only be applied on the outside of the viv.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
