I'm sure she will start munching soon as its all over. Im just really happy you found something she loves!

Hi guys,

I shouldnt be online but I couldnt resist sharing this with you.

Ive been buried with work for the last week trying to finish of a long essay for my "Medicine, Ethics & the Law" module (gee that even sounds boring) and I thought Id get Miso out for a play. She is absolutely miserable in full body, neck head and leg shed so i popped her on my desk because it was covered in paper and textbooks and I thought she might find the new textures fun.

This is what greated me less than a minute after letting her explore my desk.

That is a library textbook :shock:

She was firmly put back in her viv after that little present.
I swear my essay notes still smell....


Sigh. Back to work....

He's still on a go-slow really. Pooping daily but is only finishing one salad insted of his usual 2-3.
He's also on superworm strike, demanding butterworms, but Im all out and i cant get any delivered till next month. So right now he is sulking for two days, then on the third day is hungry enough to eat his supers begrudgingly, then sulks for another day or so.

Sheesh where do I start.
This girl has got att-i-tude right now. The poor girls head, back, belly and hind legs shed all cracked at once on saturday and she was livid. She was flicking her legs, writhing around in her blanket to get it off, FURIOUSLY bearding (she broke through and managed the full flappy beard, not the baby-half beard), and twice I caught her trying to bite the shed off herself! She managed once :shock:
Her tail is now in shed so she's generally in her grumpy colours. Only after a bath and a cuddle will she give me a glimpse of those beautiful yellows.
Since her discovery of the beard oh how she is using it.
She wakes up in the morning and she beards at her basking rock, at her ricerock and at her log. Not quite sure what she's trying to achieve :roll:

Here is Miso in full grump mode at 6.30 am today. She is modelling the angy pancake and the half beard (couldnt catch the full one)

Miso is noming up 20ish roaches a day in the morning, a salad, and is allowed to pick at a mixture of mealworms and pheonix worms during the day.
She is having regular large bowel movements but Im giving her a dose of applesauce every other day to make sure all the new protein doesnt back her up.
What a good girl ^_^


Here is a poor quality shot, but shows you how she holds her right foot inwards.

She can stand on it straight, and does so when she's running, but at rest this is how she likes to hold it.
Ive applied pressure to it and it doesnt seem to bother her in the slightest. There also doesnt seem to be any swelling.
She has had a 12% UVB bulb and calcium every day for two weeks now and has shown no improvement in her foot.
Im pretty clueless as to what it could be tbh.
Any guesses?


Im visiting family for three days now so i have to leave them with my boyfriend
Ive chopped up all their salads and labeled them in the fridge for him.
I am going to have SERIOUS dragon withdrawls! No doubt I'll just be lurking on here trying to get my beardie fix!

Hi Holly,

Boy, has Miso grown, I do realize she's pancaking and all, but she looks so much bigger, and beautiful to boot! Bella too, is at the end of her shed, and acts like a dog shaking her head to get the shed off, don't you just want to pull it off to make them feel better, the temptation is killing me.
I don't know what to say about her foot, she's certainly getting her calcium, are you using liquid or powder? Some beardies don't absorb the powder as well, but she probably would be showing other signs if her calcium was down,ie: twitching, etc. Liquid calcium may be better, though.
I hear you about going away, ............ guess where your heart will be for 3 days. :dontknow:...................... I'm sure hubby will have 100 post-its around the house. :laughing6:
