Real plants in tank?

I would like to put in some type of cactus or desert like plant into my beardies tank, he's 10 months old. Does anyone have a real plant in their tank or know of any that would work? Any experience with this?

They have a list of safe plants.

I think the usual concern about live plants is the moisture they require to stay alive. As long as you get an edible cactus, like prickly pear (although I have no idea what they are like to try to grow....), and your dragon does not try to eat the soil, and it does not raise the humidity in your tank too much, it should be fine. Keep in mind that it is just another live thing to care for, though.

thanks so much, i wasnt sure if anyone was going to answer! i think im going to try to find some fake ones that loook real, it would be much much safer!
