R.I.P. JUDAS :( :( R.I.P MISTY :( :(

This is my new girl, she is one of Barbara's babies from the first clutch and was born on 7/17. Her proud parents are Ms. Tiggs & PVT Blaze. As we know, all Barb's beardies are spoiled.
She had a long trip from CA yesterday, all the way to NY. She arrived 12:30 today. She is gorgeous, has orange colored eyes and is a real sweetie.

I had a problem with Photobucket, promise to put up more pics later. She had a bath, ate a few greens & a little squash as well as 2 crickets. She has been cuddled quite a bit already. And, as Barbara knows, she loves to run up your hand & arm when you try to put her back in.
Her stress marks are gone right now, she laid on my lap and snuggled into my hand. :shock:

Thank you everyone, I still can't believe she is gone. She was supposed to be wide awake waiting for her bath and to be fed this morning. She was absolutely fine yesterday morning. A little while after feeding her 3 supers (which were fine and wiggling in my hand), I looked at her on her basking spot and her beard and part of her tail were black. She was like that all day yesterday and last evening. She wouldn't move hardly at all but just kept gulping on & off, no gaping, etc. Her eyes looked awful and she lost the color pigment in her eyes as well as had a white tongue. I don't know if it was liver problems or what but it seems like even though I didn't feed many feeders, she continued to gain wt and I was expecting her to be producing eggs at any time again.

Gina, thank you so much for chatting with me into the wee hrs of the morning while I was trying to make Misty comfortable. Having you there did help.

Deb, thanks so much for your phone call, it meant a lot. I'm sorry I was too upset to say much at that point.

Michele, I appreciated your call, you always know just the right things to say.

Barbara, thank YOU for sharing this wonderful girl with me. I was hoping to have MANY years of loving to give her, it's awful that it was only 2 1/2 yrs. Her personality was absolutely awesome! Her name Autumn Mist (Misty) did describe her gorgeous colors.

I miss my girl SO much!

Oh I'm so sorry Diane Even though Misty's life may have not been the longest, I know for a fact she had a great life. Any beardie that's owned by you lives a life of luxury. I'm sure she couldn't have been a happier dragon living with you. :wink:
