R.I.P. JUDAS :( :( R.I.P MISTY :( :(

This is my new girl, she is one of Barbara's babies from the first clutch and was born on 7/17. Her proud parents are Ms. Tiggs & PVT Blaze. As we know, all Barb's beardies are spoiled.
She had a long trip from CA yesterday, all the way to NY. She arrived 12:30 today. She is gorgeous, has orange colored eyes and is a real sweetie.

I had a problem with Photobucket, promise to put up more pics later. She had a bath, ate a few greens & a little squash as well as 2 crickets. She has been cuddled quite a bit already. And, as Barbara knows, she loves to run up your hand & arm when you try to put her back in.
Her stress marks are gone right now, she laid on my lap and snuggled into my hand. :shock:

Diane, I know Roger has a huge lapful of beardies, he just loves every single one. Your Sabrina & Gizmo are in very good hands, or lap as the case may be. I know Sweetie is perched on his shoulder, her favourite place, looking on at all the beardies Roger's taking care of. It makes a nice picture in my mind & helps alot.

Diane, I hope that memorial picture brought both sad and happy tears . . . sad because your babies are gone, but happy because they will now be together once again.

You're exactly right, it brought sad and happy tears at the same time and actually made it a reality for me. I'm still having a hard time about not caring for him and worrying about him though, that was the hardest part when Sabrina passed too. It's gonna take some time. Thanks so much for making that picture, I know it was VERY difficult for you.

Having to care for both Sabrina and Giz while they were ill was such a huge part of your daily routine. Now that you don't have to worry about their every move and how they're fairing every hour, your auto-pilot has been turned off and you're having to find a new route. That alone will take some time to get used to, for sure.

Diane, I never got a chance to ask you how Josh had been since Gizmo's passing. He'd been such a security blanket for Giz, comforting him through all of the bad days.

Yes, I'm trying to find that "new route", I'm working on it. Misty & Judas are both doing very well which helps. And, both very active.

Josh is still having a hard time with Gizmo's passing as he spent SO much time cuddling and comforting him. He used to hold Giz when he was having his 1st cup of coffee and many times throughout the day, so, he is lost. I haven't been able to do anything with his tank yet, just the way it was. I will know when it's time.

Oh Diane, between your comment about Josh and Gina's picture, I'm ready to crack up, happy one minute and sad the next, (sorry, I'm not much help), but please know I'm praying for all your hearts to heal.

Last night I figured out why Josh & I are having such a hard time with Giz gone. When Sabrina died, we still spent a LOT of time fussing over & encouraging him to eat, etc. Well, that is gone now too. Misty & Judas are both very independent so they don't really need all the extra coddling so we are lost. Makes sense, doesn't it?
I was going to remove the towel from his tank yesterday, walked toward his tank and then walked away, I realized I wasn't ready to handle that yet. I was explaining all of this to Paul this morning and broke down. He agreed that there is extra time on our hands now and that we are lost. He told me not to worry about removing anything from Giz's tank, just let it go for now, so he understands.

That's great that Paul understands, it's going to take time for you & Josh especially to heal, I was lost when Sweetie passed, too, I was so used to putting her first in the am, getting all her meds ready, etc, then cuddling her as much as I could in the pm, that I felt empty for awhile; it's now 3 mo & I'm feeling a bit better but I haven't been able to change anything in her tank, either. It just takes time to heal your hearts, but it will happen, just slowly. I still shed a tear here & there, because I still miss her so much, but then I go to her memorial & remember all the good memories and I feel better.

You'll know when it's time to do something with Gizmo's things, it will be in your & Josh's time, not anyone else's. My heart & prayers are with you, always,
