This is my new girl, she is one of Barbara's babies from the first clutch and was born on 7/17. Her proud parents are Ms. Tiggs & PVT Blaze. As we know, all Barb's beardies are spoiled.
She had a long trip from CA yesterday, all the way to NY. She arrived 12:30 today. She is gorgeous, has orange colored eyes and is a real sweetie.

I had a problem with Photobucket, promise to put up more pics later. She had a bath, ate a few greens & a little squash as well as 2 crickets. She has been cuddled quite a bit already. And, as Barbara knows, she loves to run up your hand & arm when you try to put her back in. :D
Her stress marks are gone right now, she laid on my lap and snuggled into my hand.

I can see the baby beardie in question, delighting you and running all over his/her tank. It might be a good idea to take 2, one just isn't enough, is it?
Yup, yup, and yup!

Again, I'm so sorry about Misty.

I think it would be so adorable and a sweet way to remember Misty's life if you got one of her nieces AND/or  nephews.

Diane, hopefully it will bring a smile to your face that we're all such enablers... LOL :) Hope you're having a better day today

I saw that Misty had passed but had to wait awhile before posting. I'm not sure why your loss hit me so hard, it just seemed to be the one too many for my heart. I'm glad I waited as I see how so many others also feel your grief and know that such a special piece of your life can never be replaced. Taking on the offspring of two of Gina's ICC"s will help fill the hole in your heart, while adding to the wonderful memories you have of their Aunt Misty.

Wow, sure seems like I'm getting a lot of encouragement. I knew I could count on all of you. I do plan on getting one of Digi's and Pookie's babies when they are ready and am very touched by Gina's offer. I can't wait to see those adorable little babies.

Since it will be a while before they hatch and are ready to be available, I looked around the forum in the For Sale and For Free forums and ran across this little girl. [ Invalid URL Removed / p= t=170139 f=51 ] Her little face stole my heart and Paul, Josh and I feel we are up for a "challenge" in welcoming her into our home and getting her settled in. I didn't realize she was a leatherback until Gina mentioned it to me so I did a search to see if there is any different care that a leatherback requires rather than a normal breed and found out that there isn't any difference. So, I have been pm'ing the OP and just told him that I really want this girl.

What does everyone think?

I almost forgot to mention that when I was on my way to work at 7:00 this morning, right in front of me was a huge heart shaped cloud, it made me smile and I took it to be "a sign." The heart shape didn't last for long but there was no way I could have missed seeing it.

I have been thinking about her and re-read that thread, I think she will respond to your love and will be a welcome addition to your home. You need multiple beardies in your home again.

Oh, thanks so much Lori, I really needed to hear that. Guess I was typing you a pm while you were posting here.

Yes, you must have been, I remembered reading your last post here when I was responding to that PM but didn't remember reading anything about a cloud so I had to come back on here to see what I must have been to tired to see before, we had a really long week, one 10 hour day at work, 2= 9/12 hour days then yesterday, up and going at 6am to get to Tucson, not home until after 7pm, Goldie wasn't upset with us as I expected her to be by both of us being gone all day at the same time.

I saw the thread about the beardie that needs a home and a little bit of an attitude adjustment! Sounds like she will take up a good portion of your time and give you something to focus on. I'm curious to hear what you can do with her.

Wow Lori, guess you did have a really long wk. Rather than just missing the info about the cloud, it's a wonder your eyes can see anything at all. Hopefully next wk will be a better one for both of you.

That's good that Goldie wasn't upset with you, I'm sure you'll be making it up to her when you are both more rested unless you have been able to already.

We're curious about what we can do with her too lol. We all know how very smart they are, perhaps she can feel the vibes that his wife isn't too fond of her. Wish us lots of luck that she will respond positively when we get her all settled in. Haven't discussed a shipping date with the OP yet but hopefully it will be soon.

If anyone has heard or read that a leatherback requires any type of different care, please let me know.

Oh Diane, this is so exciting, she is beutiful & will give you lots of love, I just know it. And that clouds shape was just telling you that was a good decision. I hope you get along famously, and will be waiting ot hear that she got safely to your home. And you're going to have one of Digi & Pookie's babies, too? That is such great news!

I still think you should get 2 Digi/Pookie babies. I would love to have a 3rd baby but we don't have the time for a 3rd plus our budget doesn't allow all the feeders to feed a baby.

Thanks so much Deb, I am getting exciting, a feeling I haven't had lately for sure. I admit that the heart cloud had to mean something. Yes, I plan on getting a Digi & Pookie baby too later on.

Lori, I'm not sure about 2 Digi babies though with me working full time.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
