If I am not mistaken, a "dutch oven" is when you pull the covers over somebody's head and then fart. :shock:

A dutch oven is when you let out a nasty fart in bed, and you pull the covers up over the other persons head so they suffocate in your disgusting nastiness. The guy dutch ovened Theodore in the new Chipmunks movie, so funny hahahaha. Nasty.

Sandi - "badondadonk butt" :laughhard: Yes, Pookie did resign himself to allow Buddy to sit on him. Not sure why he wasn't the slighest bit mad (no black beard or death glares).

Jarett - I have no idea how it all happened either, but I'm sure glad that Buddy's such a love. Would hate to have a fast growing snapper running amuk in the house trying to bite everyone. And why Pookie tolerates Buddy's quirkiness is also a mystery to me.

Dawn - Yeah, poor Pookie for sure, especially since Buddy weighs more :roll:

Christy - How did you know that I was laughing while taking those pics? :lol:

Robin - Ewwww!!!!! That's gross! I'm certain that if Buddy had let one loose while sitting on Pookie, it'll be the last time because Pookie would freak out.

I wish I was able to videotape that. The stink eye that Pookie gave Buddy was priceless! If he was able to talk, he'd say "Get away from me you lizard wanna be!" :laughing6:
If Buddy ever got together with other snappers, he'd be laughed at and ridiculed. I'm always telling him that he's an embarrassment to the snapper species, because he's a big chicken, a big baby, likes to snuggle, doesn't 'snap' (not even sure if he knows how at this point), and doesn't like to be in the water. :roll:

Is it usual that Pookie and Buddy get along? Ummm, I don't think so, but then again, I never had a turtle before so I have no idea. But I am very glad that they do though.

I can't believe I get to snuggle with a turtle either. Never in a million years could I imagine that a turtle, much less a snapper, would like to be picked up, stroked, kissed, and cuddled. He truly is a love.

i've been reading through the thread over the past few days, love the pics!! when my husband saw Buddy and i said he was a "free roaming" snapping turtle with an identity issue it was almost a code brown if you know what i mean...

speaking of Buddy being free roaming, how does that work?? i've never owned a turtle before but i'm getting a tortoise and i know that tortoises need basking spots and i just wasn't sure how that works...it must be fun though.
