Gina, I was just catching up on the fostering of Momo, guess I have been MIA somewhat lately. It's great that you are helping out Jacqui and Momo. So sweet of you to do that.

Holy cow! That little girl thinks she's much bigger than she really is!
Just a few minutes ago, she tried to eat a hornworm that was half her size. See, I put her in Pookie's house (no, Pookie wasn't in it) for some extra UV and heat, totally forgetting that a horn was buried under the papertowel lining. Suddenly, I heard alot of rustling and saw MoMo on the floor with something in her mouth. I think it took me a micro second to get over there and pried her mouth open and released the hornworm. She already had about a half inch of its rear in her mouth and tried to swallow it down her throat.
Of course, after I removed the worm from the viv, she kept looking around wondering where that tasty treat went. I can't imagine why she'd even considered eating that horn, given she had two freshly shed supers and 5 butters not more than an hour or so ago. Guess she was still hungry :dontknow:

So far, only Pookie had seen MoMo, and guess who was the first to blackbeard/headbob? MoMo! Of course, that confused my Pookster, but not for long. Just like how he reacted to his first intro to Digi, he went all black and fiercely headbobbed. But knowing he wasn't going to be able to get close to MoMo, he sat and stared at her for a long time until finally losing interest and curled up under my laptop and went to sleep. That was when I decided to put her into his viv for a bit, which somehow woke him up and the reaction I got wasn't a happy one (full black beard and more headbobs).

I TOLD YOU SO!

MoMo eats anything that moves, and lots of it. Doesn't look that way, since she's so small, but she would eat ten times the amount Gem eats. Just when you think she's finished, she basks for a little, then comes back for more. :lol:

And I told you she was dominant. :wink: Pookie's got a run for his money. MoMo's got a huge attitude and won't be taming down anytime soon. Ahh, I miss her ferocity already. :love5:

:lol: No, that was a different hornworm. He tried to "hatch" his little buddy a few weeks back and it didn't quite make it. As for prying her mouth open, I just stuck my finger in on one side and tugged at the horn from the other. I got lucky in getting the horn because she was trying so hard to get it past the opening of her throat and kept opening her mouth wider.

MoMo gave me a humongous poop early this afternoon. She popped out two urates and a poop that was as big as the horn she tried to eat last night.
She was so cute in the bathroom sink though. At first she sat in the water like a good girl, but then suddenly started jumping out and refused to go back in. It wasn't until I dipped her back in while clinging onto my hand for dear life that I realized why -- the water got cold! :roll: After draining some of the cold water and refilling with warm water, MoMo went back in and right away raised her tail in preparation to poop. Oh, she even drank a bunch of water before it went cold!

She was so cute in the bathroom sink though. At first she sat in the water like a good girl, but then suddenly started jumping out and refused to go back in. It wasn't until I dipped her back in while clinging onto my hand for dear life that I realized why -- the water got cold! Well, at least she pooped for you! She seems to be settling right in! I was rather relieved that you posted this, since she didn't poo the day we met, and that had me a bit concerned.
And she does love baths... did she swim or just blow up like a balloon and float? :roll:

She wouldn't poop on Friday, just sat in the water completely motionless, but I had her in a plastic tote so maybe that was the problem :dontknow:
Before the water went cold, she did swim around the sink, and had a stare down with the water before deciding it was ok to drink from it :lol:. She also swam a little bit just before pooping, but never blew up or floated (maybe because the water wasn't that deep).

Last night I had taken her out for some before bedtime snuggles. After checking out her surroundings and assuring herself that what she saw on the laptop screen wasn't going to pop out and get her, she crawled around/up my arm and proceeded to snuggle in tight between the couch and my arm. Of course, the way she was laying prevented me from moving, at all. I sat that way for about an hour or so until I finally couldn't feel my left hand/arm anymore and the right side was starting to go numb as well (from compensating for the left), then I put her into "her" bed (since nobody else fit into it anymore) and she curled up and quickly fell back to sleep.

Now for a cute story from yesterday to tell, with pics to match.
I introduced Digi and MoMo and it went so well. Neither of them showed any dominance or fear for one another. And as shown above ("Giving MoMo a piggy back ride"), they acted like they'd been life-long pals. A few hours later, Digi was put back in her house to warm up and I had a brilliant idea -- why not put MoMo in there too! Of course, I'd be right there to intervene if either of them showed any aggressive behavior. I placed MoMo on the other side of Digi's tree (while Digi was half straddling her cave and half hugging her duckie on the other side of the tank), but instead of staying put, she hopped forward to sit better on top of the tree. Well, that sudden movement startled Digi so much that I seriously thought she was going to have a heart attack (but still had a creamy white belly and no signs of a black beard). I'm not sure if she was reacting to my voice of concern or how scared Digi looked, but MoMo looked at Digi and did a full arm wave! She also sat perfectly still for the longest time, for about a half hour, up until I picked Digi up for snuggles to calm her down. A short while later, she jumped down from the tree and started to explore all of the stuff in Digi's viv. She stood in front of Digi's cave contemplating whether she wanted to go in or not, but I persuaded her to 'explore' the smaller cave instead (just in case Digi wanted to sleep inside the cave instead of on top of it). To my surprise, MoMo actually went inside and made comfy! She curled up and closed her eyes within seconds, and slept there all night!

I know! When I'm holding MoMo, it doesn't feel like there's anyone there. If I happen to pick up Pookie afterwards, I have to remember to shift my grip to a much heavier weight.
