Quick update on my spoiled and identity-challenged babies:
Zim - Not sure if this is due to the colder temps and him slowing down (like beardies, though he should be doing the reverse given he's a Husky) or feeling left out from all the attention, but he'd been keeping to himself and sleeping more. When he does join me in the living room, he'd been very whiney and wants me to sit on the floor with him (which I can't do for long periods of time or else I'd be screaming for help to get back up). He also had been very "loving" where he'd let me open/checked every part of his fuzzy body. I don't think I'd been giving him less attention than normal, but maybe I had :dontknow:
Pookie - From the second he wakes up in the morning to the second he finally tire out and go to sleep at night, he'd been
black bearding and head bobbing at both Digi and MoMo. I'm amazed that he hasn't given himself dain bramage  Oh, he did give MoMo a kiss last night and didn't look like he wanted to eat her
I almost got to take a pic of them next to each other, but MoMo kept armwaving at Pookie and looked like she wanted to bolt away from fear, so I gave in and ended the face-to-face meeting.
Buddy - He actually woke up and crawled out of the couch all by himself yesterday! I was shocked to see his little head poking out from the couch. Then, to surprise me even more, he wanted to go into his dishpan! Even though he refused to eat or poop, he did drink tons of water so I was ok with him wanting out only after an hour. And of course he wanted right back in the couch afterwards. Silly goose.
Digi - If I had any inkling on how great she'd be with another sibling, I would've gotten another much sooner. She had been an absolute angel with MoMo, never once displayed a gray beard or stress marks or headbobs or beard poofs. She didn't even get upset when MoMo ate her food! (which freaked me out with fear that a fight would start) Any time they're together, she'd give MoMo kisses and loving looks. The only times she showed any form of annoyance were when MoMo climbed on her head, but even then she never changed color or showed dominance. [Barbara, thanks for giving me such a doll!]
MoMo - A little more than a week after moving in, she's finally settling in without fear of being harmed. Amazingly enough, she's most comfortable with she's with Digi. Yesterday I actually got to see a creamy white belly and her true beautiful red colors! She was so pretty! But as soon as I picked her up and out of Digi's house, her colors immediately went dark again. So, given my raised curiosity, I put her changing colors to the test and later placed her back into Digi's house. Not even 5 minutes later, all of her stress marks and dark colors disappeared and a completely different looking beardie was standing before my eyes. I was in awe! But this posed a slight dilemma: would she only be happy being with Digi instead of on her own??
I have a few pics to post, but that won't be til later. Still need to upload them to PB.
Hope you all enjoyed the updates.
