Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

I'd been so preoccupied with ensuring that both Gianna and MoMo are dealing with Pookie being gone, that I think I'd not allowed myself to think about it. All of my babies had never been ok with seeing me cry (the worst being Pookie and Digi), and because of that, I'd been trying not to cry in front of them, which meant that I'd pretty much not been crying.

I'm still waiting for Pookie to "come back" to let me know that he's ok now, that he's ready to move on.

He will, Gina, for sure and I know he's healthy and looking down at you with love for everything you did for him. I have a feeling he'll come to you soon to let you know he's all settled with Digi.

I hope you're right, Deb. It would tear me apart if he never did

I can't believe that it'd already been a week since Pookie passed away.

I know time goes way too fast. I know you'll hear from him soon.

I can't find Nathaniel again, left him out while I was at work yesterday and can't find him anywhere. Even put Cierra out to entice him out, plus the boys in turns and nothing, so I'm going to be going to search again. I've even searched outside on the balcony but can't find him there yet, either.

Gina, I hope that you have a "vision" of Pookie & Digi together very soon so that you feel better and can get closure knowing they are happy & free of all pain.

Oh dear Deb, hope you can find Nathaniel VERY soon. He is probably in the most unlikely place you would think to look. What a character!

Hi Diane, yes I did find him, he's somehow gotten underneath 3 partitions in front of the stereo and was squeezed underneath, I think it's 4" at the most. I just his side and grabbed him out. He's watching TV on the ramp right now but he'll be going to bed soon. Another place to check when I can't find him. Even though I did put rocks in front of the partitions now, so I don't think he can get underneath anymore.

Pookie is finally home, where he belongs. Though I'd much rather have him back whole, this is the closest I can get, as I had picked up his ashes this evening.

I know that must have been very difficult for you Gina. It's good that he is home now though. HUGS to you.

Even my outdoor critters know that I needed some love today.

During one of my many squirrel/bird food refills today, a certain adorable squirrel who has very little fear of me (until I stand up) actually sat and ate food only a foot away from me, with its back to me, and me staring at it the whole time. I could talk to it, look it right in the eyes, and make very slow movements and it wouldn't even flinch. If I happen to have startled it, it would only run to the edge of the deck and just sit, waiting for my next move. If I stood still, it would come back regardless of where I was or how close I was standing/squatting next to its food source.

Then, later on in the afternoon, I looked out of the kitchen window to see who was out in the yard and guess who I saw sitting next to the shed? Callie! I immediately retrieved an opened can of food from the fridge and a spoon and went outside. I walked to the top of the steps and waved and said hello to her, at which time she immediately stood up, but didn't depart from her post just yet; she had to look at the shed a couple more times just to be sure that no mouse was going to run out. After she was finally sure that no mouse was going to suddenly sneak out, she did a big stretch and started walking across the yard. I honestly didn't think that she'd make it all the way to the deck, much less up the steps and to me, but she did. She also let out her very soft meows whenever I talked to her. She somehow knew that the can of food was on the railing, because she kept looking up and sniffing. I finally asked her if she was hungry and wanted some food, and that was when she meowed a little louder (but still soft) and walked to the middle of the deck, where we always go to eat. I spoon fed her about a quarter of a can and she gobbled up every morsel, even huge chunks which she never liked. When her tummy was full, she walked to the side steps and sat and surveyed 'her' yard, where a very loud bird was cackling. After a minute or so, she walked down the steps, did a stretch, then headed towards the woods. Right before entering, she looked back almost as if she was saying good night, then she disappeared among the brush and trees.

Wow, that squirrel must have been infatuated by you. Really amazing and must have been so neat.

So happy to hear that Callie came back to see you. What a pleasant surprise. She sure remembers you. :) Hope she comes back more often now. So cute the way she still ate from the spoon and then when she was all done, she turned around to tell you goodnight. :love5:

My squirrel friend was already on the deck eating out of the feeder when I went outside to refill it this morning. He ran off to hide at the steps but never left the deck. After I poured the seeds into the feeder, I peeked over the railing to see if he was still there, and sure enough, he was sitting on the second step down, waiting for me to move away. I stepped away from the feeder about 4-5 feet or so, and told the squirrel that he can go back to eating again. Well, you will never believe what he did next -- He walked up the two steps, paused for a second, walked a few more steps, paused again, then hopped right to me! He stood right at my feet, looking up at the bowl that I was holding in my left hand! Then he slowly walked around me, perhaps hoping that I had something good hiding behind my back. When I went to turn my head to see where he had gone (because I couldn't hear him walking anymore), he suddenly bolted to the other corner of the deck. A minute or so later, I went back outside again with a tray of sunflower seeds/corn/peanuts mixture and a bowl of softened corn (yeah, they're spoiled), set it down on the deck, and looked around to find my little friend. He was perched on top of the neighbor's fence, watching me the whole time. I gestured "Come" with my hand and low and behold, he jumped down from the fence and hopped over to the deck, then jumped into the tray and began munching away on the seeds and peanuts.

It sure was a great way to start a morning.

Callie showed up tonight shortly after I got home from work, around 6:30pm. When I went outside with the remainder of her food and stood at the top of the deck steps, she immediately meowed and started walking across the yard. About half way in, she suddenly broke into a run, and kept on running until she reached the steps, meowing along the way. She was so happy to see me, which, of course, made me very happy.

I had to go into the office today, which meant that Baby Gianna couldn't come out first thing in the morning; even if she could, she didn't want to, as she'd been snuggling with her teddy bear since she went back home yesterday. I couldn't tell if she was sulking (absolutely no reason for her to) or was depressed. Well, when I went to check on her after letting the puppy out for potty, she had not gone potty, which is very unusual for her as she'd been going poop once and pee at least 2-3 times a day. When I was changing out of my work clothes, I heard a lot of pacing and glass scratching coming from the living room, which turned out to be Gianna. I took her out, gave her a quick hug and kiss on her back, and placed her on top of the couch to look out the window. Within less than a minute, she climbed down and jumped down to the floor, walked across to almost reaching MoMo's house, and just sat there on the throw rug. She gave me this look as if to say that she's waiting for something, but I didn't know what. Suddenly, the light bulb went on in my head and I realized that she was getting ready to go potty. I kept patting the bare floor and telling her that if she needed to go potty, she had to do it on the floor and not the carpet. A few seconds later, she moved forward a foot and started to raise her tail. Yup, she went potty! She actually waited an entire day to go potty outside of her house!! OMG!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
