i think cas is very sick. i have had him a year when i got him he was 6 in. he has always been very active and loved his veggies..

Now he wont eat i have to force feed him! he wont poop so i am scared to feed him too much hes not active at least not like he used to be. my mom gets home before i do and she takes him out to run around. well today he wouldnt wake him up when my mom opened his cage to take him out and my mom started crying thinking he was dead. and now im crying because i dont want him to die. i took him to the vet last week and they gave him a clean bill of health. ive been using warm baths and oil and nothing! u had walnut shell took them out last week now he has carpet, i try to feed him veggies he wont eat. so i make a liquid meal of a little yogurt vitamins and oil with some waxworms and some parsley. so i can use a eye dropper and i think that is what is keeping him alive. i dont know what to do or what else to try.

does this sound like anything? i tried to look up the symptoms but nothing sounds right. hes not weezing or hiccuping. so i dont think it is upper res infection. last time he pooped it was really small last week and i didnt see any parasites/worms. i dont know what to do any help PLEASE!!!!

Have there been any changes in the viv or temps in the house?
What are the temps now?
Basking temps and cool side temps?
How old is the uvb light you are using? And what brand/wattage etc?

Well first red flag is the not pooping and the walnut sub leads me to believe he is impacted. How much oil have you actually bene giving? You dont want to give more then a drop or two. Also is the yogirt soy?If its dairy that could cause issues.I would get some babyfood specifically squash for veggie and chicken for protien and use that for daily feedings as well as keep up the daily baths and while he is in there make sure to massage the abdomen starting from the armpit area and working gently down in a circular motion.I am assuming you have the Powersun MVB for UVB?Is that correct? If so how far away is he from it?It also may be a good idea to get him some repta aid critical care formula to help him out as well.

You mentioned that the UVB is 100 watts, is it the PowerSun mercury vapor bulb? If so, how close is it to your beardie when he is in the basking area? What type of thermometer are you using? If it is any type of stick-on, they can be off by as much as 20 degrees. The only 2 ways to get accurate readings are with either a temperature gun or a digital thermometer with a long wire & probe end. If you don't have either one of those, the temps may be way off which can affect his total health.

Is his beard and/or tail darkened in color? What do his eyes look like, are they sunken?

Is it soy yogurt that you're feeding him or the regular kind? If it is the regular yogurt, that is not good because they can't digest dairy. Rather than feeding the mixture you are using, you would be better off buying some babyfood squash, applesauce & chicken babyfood, adding a little bit of Pedialyte or water to thin it a little and putting a small pinch of calcium in it. If you are using vitamins i that mixture every time you feed it, he could be over dosing on the vitamins. Since it's been a long time since he pooped, you should increase the baths to 2 a day and gently massaging his right side from his armpit to vent area and if you feel any hardened areas, then massage gently in a circular motion trying to move it closer to his vent.

How long has he been acting like this? How long since he has eaten on his own? What was the last thing he ate on his own?

definatly sounds like impaction, make sure the yogurt is soy, and you dont want him getting to close to the MVB because mine did, got dehydrated and started having seizures, so try to keep her hydrated, remember real sunlight if possible is always better than a light, and just keep offering him food and nurse him back to health

please keep us updated

I first thought it was compaction too at first but then i took him to the vet and he told me that his stomach felt normal so that changed my thought on that. as far as the yogurt yes it is soy. and when i mix it i can only get him to eat very lil so i know he is just getting a few drops of oil. (i keep in mind what i would feel like if i took to much laxitives! :puke: ) when he is in the basking area he is about 6 inches from the lights. i give him daily baths and it kind of helped last week he pooped but very little for him. last time he ate by himself was he had parsley very lil cilantro and romaine. cilantro is favorite treat so i tried giving it to him to intice him to eat. it only work that time. that was his last real meal that was voluntary. last night i think he took two bites of romaine and that was it. hes hasnt been eating on his own in like 2 weeks and hasnt pooped besides last week lil thing was about month. For thermomaters i have the the stick on ones but i have been borrowing a digital from a friend. im getting one on my way home from work. his eyes are bright and clear and they are not sunken in . his beard and tail are the same color. in physical apperence he looks the same cept his tummy is as my mom says saggy. its not as firm as it normally is.

i think i have answered all the Qs but if i forgot one please let me know.

thanks for all the help.
