platforms?

I'm trying to decide what the get for my big 17inch beardie to bask on. Could you all help me by posting pictures of what you use or links to what you use? I would really appreciate it! Thank you!

Hi Britjoe...I use several things, but in most of my tanks I have a nice log about the size of your upper arm or bigger [ not pine or anything sappy ] collected from outside. I find ones that fit in the oven, so if the log is clean [ brushed off clean ] I preheat the oven to 225 or 250 and put it in for an hour to sterilize + kill any lurking bugs. Beardies love logs, I think they enjoy hanging on things more than just perching on a flat platform. There are also those fake ceramic type logs at the pet stores, the ones that look like tree roots. But if you look in the DIY you may see some nice home made platforms.

I tried all sorts of things before just going with rocks. I used large enough rocks to be sure they were steady and would not tip.

What ever you decide I have found that mine loves to sit high. He will ignore a single rock all day long but stack them together for some height and he literally runs to it.
