panting

Is panting ok? Sagura sits with her mouth open even when it seems to be a good temp in her tank. She runs around and is active, but I'm just not sure on how normal the panting is.

If she is sitting in her basking area with her mouth open, that is called gaping. Does she do it a lot or just once in a while? What type of thermometer are you using and what are the temps? Is she breathing normally?

Yeh it's in her basking area, I'm using a digital thermometer with a probe and it says it's like 90 or so degrees. She tends to do it quite a bit, she just looks like she's relaxing though.

When you use the digital with probe, make sure the probe end is actually touching the basking spot and wait about 45 min for the temp to stop rising before getting the final reading. What is the temp on the cool side? How is the humidity level in the tank?
