My Dragon likes to lay 3" from my uvb light, is this ok?

I read they will adjust to hot much uvb they'd like and to allow them to get within 6" of it. Should I limit him to 6" of it max or just make sure he can get within 6" of it?

Hello,

Well, 3 inches is a bit too close hon. Try to move the light to where he can only get 6 inches from it at the closest. I would hate for his eyes to get injured from being too close.
