MY BREADIE POO!

Hi there, I have uploaded a picture of my breadies poo, to be blunt, hehe. Is this normal? Is it supposed to be this runny? He almost always goes to the washroom like this.

Well, he's definitely well-hydrated lol. I thought "my beardie poo" was a pet name and I got a picture! When was his last fecal? Parasites can cause runny poop.

Lol sorry, his last fecal was about 30 minutes ago, I took the picture about 25 minutes ago. He poops 1-2 times daily, always. Eats well too.

I think dolce meant... when was his last "fecal", meaning when did you last have his stool checked for parasites? Good luck...

I would recommend getting a fecal done at the vet then. Most vets are cool with you just dropping off a ziploc bag of poo, then they call you with results. Costs about $15. Otherwise they may ask you to bring your beardie in for a full checkup. Most beardies are positive for parasites at their first checkup. Just one of the effects of eating live food. But a little bit of medicine will take care of it in a couple of weeks.

The more common parasites- coccidia, roundworms, pinworms- are only dangerous in high numbers. Many beardies have them in low numbers and don't even know it. More serious ones, like hookworms, can definitely kill a beardie and would need to be handled ASAP.
