Why is that?

All feeder insects should be dusted to give an appropriate calcium balance. If his bugs are not dusted and he is not eating high calcium greens and regularly he is not getting enough calcium.
Twitching is usually from a vitamin deficiency. Vitamin D (improper UVB light) calcium (improper UVB light, inadequate dietary calcium) and vitamin b12 (inadequate diet) can lead to muscles twitching.
When did you switch out the lights? Diet and UVB problems can be slow to develop and slow to heal.
