Poor guy, that looks like it hurts. This was caused by pulling shedding skin off? If so, then the new skin underneath may be developed enough to protect against infection in which case it should heal up. Just try to keep the hand as clean as possible and you may want to put some plain Neosporin (no pain reliever) on it to help protect it further from infection. If you see open wound/bleeding, wounded/rotting tissue, or withering tissue around the fingers, then you will need to see an experienced reptile vet so they can determine if the hand has become infected and needs advanced treatment. It's important to get that looked at early if it starts becoming infected because an infection could spread quickly and become life threatening if not kept in check. I'm hopeful the new skin will finish growing and no infection will take hold though.

Keep a close eye on it for now and if you want to post progression photos please feel free to and we can take a second look at it for you. Hopefully just a light coat of neosporin a few times a day will protect it though.

So I have been putting neosporin on his feet but I came home today and the tip of his toe was black and I know this means it’s necrotic I was just wondering if I should do anything but other than this both his feet are doing a lot better.

It's good that his feet are doing better. The toe is a concern though. If that black area starts to travel you'll want to see a vet as soon as possible. Hopefully it's just isolated to that toe but that's not guaranteed and containing infection quickly is important.

Hello,

Poor dear, that's too bad, it looks like it has been painful for him. That's good it is starting to
feel better. Definitely keep an eye on the toe & hopefully it wont get any worse.
How is he doing otherwise, is his appetite doing well?

He’s fine today he at 12 medium crickets and he’s been eating around 10 daily and we are getting him more today and so far the blackness has not tracked up his foot at all.

Yeah I’ll keep a close eye on it so far it hasn’t tracked at all.

Poor guy, that must have hurt, ouch!

Keep putting the antibiotic on it, even if it looks like it's healing up, as the antibiotic might aide in keeping the infection from spreading; hopefully that particular toe just lost blood supply and that's why it became necrotic, rather than it being caused by an infection. The minute you see any of the blackness spread at all he must go to a reptile vet, they would most likely just amputate the toe above the necrosis line to stop it completely, which is not a big deal at all.

I’ve been putting neosporin on it twice a day and so far other than the necrotic toe his feet already have they’re new scales and he’s just doing so much better from how he was doing thank you for all the help.

Hello,

How is the foot looking today? That's great the foot is doing better. How much of his toe do
you think he is going to lose?
I hope he continues to improve for you!

So I think he's just going to loose the tip so basically just his nail. His foot has looked the same for about 5 days and the infection hasn’t spread at all.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
