So I still have to figure out if it's a girl or boy. Got some names picked out if it's a girl it will either be Sahara or Saphira. If it's a boy Raja or Rex.

I have my baby beardie in 20L tank, substrate is terrarium liner, the lighting is a zoo med spot lamp 50w in fluker's clamp lamp with a dimmer, the UVB is a Zilla 18" T8 fluorescent. For the feeding the store that I got my beardie from they are feeding them salad and mealworms in the morning and medium crickets at night. I took out feeding mealworms for the fact that it could cause impaction on my baby beardie. But I feed a salad in the morning with baby beardie bites and last night was the first time I fed crickets dusted in rep-cal with VIT.D my beardie had a healthy appetite. Got one question any tips about getting your beardie to eat their salad I don't want my beardie to become spoil by just getting crickets?

What kind of salad are you feeding him/her they cannot eat iceburg lettuce and as for getting them to eat it set them down by the dish and move the greens around d with your finger they will see it move and usually will take a bite as they get older they will mainly eat greens and veggies, when I first got my girl Sliptornavich she would not eat her greens and I tried everything, and if this happens hold off on the crickets and worms until you little guy eat his greens first. Its good to introduce his greens early in life like this because like I said it's most of their diet when adults but right now don't worry too much about it he needs a lot of protein right now crickets Phoenix worms and hornworms... Young beardies should be fed live food 2-3x a day , being fed as many feeders he can eat in a 10 to 15 min period.

nice setup! what kind of basking temps are you getting with that bulb?

Came home the night before and my beardie had eaten it's salad yay! As for today I had to get more crickets cause my beardie has a good appetite for crickets. I also had to get a a zoo med reptitherm U.T.H. cause my roommate likes to turn the temperature down at night. I also got 75w Eco terra bulb just in case the U.T.H. isn't enough.

No bulbs on at night for beardies, and no UTH period. Bearded dragons need to receive their heat from above, they are susceptible to burning their belly cause they cant feel when its too hot and need to move. i recommend a ceramic heat emitter.

I don't recommend relying on any just in case situations either, it is important to know the actual temps of both cool side and basking, and also both day and night temps.

Even if I place the U.T.H on the side of the tank and not under the tank?? I haven't placed it on the tank yet so I'll just return it tomorrow.

Yea get rid of U.T.H. no lights on at night and I use 2 probe thermometers on each end of my girls tank and I also have an inferred gun that you can get from home depot for 20$. Cannot take any changes on temps it's very important.

As long as it doesn't drop below 65 degrees your dragon will be fine. They are tough animals/survivors.

Ok from everything that you've just told me I believe I have a purchase to make at Home Depot and some returns to the pet store.

I'm just letting you know what works well for me I'm not an expert. With that said believe me it took me months of trial an error for me to figure this stuff out I've done a lot of returns and purchases myself. I'm just making suggestions from my experience that's all.
