Lots of little urate

Just got home from work and there are about 12 urate spots on Ernie's paper towel. Really small like if you were to use chalk on sidewalk - just a bunch of small smears. Should I be worried? Do I need to call the vet and go in?

Hi Szu....I can't remember if Ernie is a m/f ? Sometimes females do that when they are near egg laying time. Other than that it might just be a one time thing or maybe a few days of an " off" poo which may not be anything. If it persists for days then you might want to schedule an appt. If Ernie is a girl, has she laid eggs before ?

O.K, just see how he does the next few days, it may just be a slight abnormal poo. If he is impacted you can always offer baby food squash, prunes or canned pumpkin with about 1/4 tsp. of veg.oil.
