loss of a beardie :(

so I loss my first beardie last week and I feel completely empty, is it bad I already want a new one? :?:

I'm sorry to hear you lost one =(. I know it's very difficult. If you're ready for another one that's OK. I'm sure you can provide a happy home for a dragon who needs one. If you want to wait, that's OK too. You can share your experiences on here and help dragons in need that way. I find it to be therapeutic.

We're here and willing to help. Sometimes they already have names when you get them (like my Dundee). Sometimes it's good to wait a while and see if they have any interesting behavior quirks that are name worthy. Lots of folks have good methods for naming their dragons.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is not wrong to want another. When they pass, they leave a hole so huge that often only another dragon call fill it.

so... I've decided I'm getting a new beardie a week from tomorrow.... a local breeder is giving me an unbeatable deal on my last beardie's baby brother or sister so I'm hoping this beardie will be as great as my last beardie I'm so nervous.....

the breeder is a good friend of mine he rescued the parents of my last bearded dragon from a kid that didn't know how to take care of them then the female Priscilla had eggs and my last beardie, Apollo was the only one that had survived and now he's gone, now the parents are fat and healthy and happy and just had their first known clutch that all the babies have survived and are doing well

so the breeder I got my original bearded dragon from is a lying manipulative monster that decided that since he couldn't afford to breed his dragons or keep them any longer he decided to abandon them in a locked shed............ I saved most of them (all the ones that were still alive) and took them to another breeder who also runs a rescue and 10 out of 15 have adeno virus and the other 5 have mbd...... she is going to let them live out the rest of their days happy until the eventually pass.... I don't understand how someone can do that to animals..... the mother and father of my last beardie were already dead by the time I found them :?: :?: :?: :?:

Oh my heavens. I'm so sorry that both you and those poor dragons had to go through that. Good that you could save the ones you could. Unfortunately, that person who left the poor things like that will never get the jail time (or being locked in a shed) he deserves.

I know how it is to lose a beardie. I lost my "Zip" last year in August. I'm glad you feel it time to get another. I just read where the guy tossed the dragons out. What a cruel monster. He needs to go to jail. At most, I would call the Humane Society or some sort of animal cruelty society (not sure if there's one out there). Good luck finding another dragon and praise God you found some one to take care of the ones you saved.

Wow that breeder sounds horrible. I am truly sorry for your loss though. However, it is good to see the want for a new one.
