LG ~ The Handi-Capable Bearded Dragon

Hey there Jscott-
The latest pics are addorable as always. I've enjoyed his "island photos" so much I've decided to add some of those leaves to my viv soon as I can. Have you ever seen him try to eat them ? (I've heard that can be an issue for some...)

Just curious - Does he always have his head in the shade while his body is basking ? I thought they scenced the heat and rays through the top of their head. I guess it's his personal preference. It doesn't really matter because he looks so healthy.

Is his name officially L.G. or you still waiting ?

I don't mean to drill ya with the questions. I know you may have limited time on the internet so don't worry about getting into any great details...Just throw me some pics and the shakes will subside :mrgreen:

I don't know about anyone else here, but, when I saw his first photos I was so taken back by his story and the loss of his limbs but now that I have followed along with his progress I honestly don't notice that he doesn't have his legs. Nothing seems to be missing from the photos at all, he's just healthy and adorable. I think L.G. doesn't notice it either because he's so spoiled Get to us when you are able....take care.

I have followed this thread for a while. I have noticed that your beardie is probably the happiest beardie I ever remember seeing. He obviously knows he is loved. You, obviously have done a great job with him. He looks a lot healthier than he used to.

Just amazed simply completely whole heart and soul amazed to the depth of every thing I have in me I am in awe I have sat here for over in ahour reading this post from start to finish... I am in love with him, his story, you and well just the entire dang thing. I wanted to know where in So Cal you are? I am near Rancho Cucamonga area if you know where that is? Well like I said just amazed at the heart you have and you didnt even set out to get a BD this was all out of kindness. I would also like to know if you are near me what petstore this happened at.... hey eveyone, sorry i've been gone for so long. i've been really busy lately. i actually havnt had a day off in about 11 days. i've been kind of walking around like a zombie.

luvthydragon, sorry for taking so long to get back to you. he doesnt seem to bother the fake foliage. he really only goes after white things(as you will see in the videos i posted).

if he's near his leaves he usually shades his eyes while leaving most of his body exposed. he also spends a fair amount of time in the direct light.

i guess L.G. is "his" name for now, but only until i find out a gender. then, i will choose a final name. thank you for following his progress. i am glad he appears happy and healthy in the pics/vids, it puts my mind at ease :wink: . i qill try to post a little more often.

mummybear, thank you, he doesnt seem to be frightened of the camera. he acts pretty much the same both on and off camera. i'm glad you enjoy his pics. i posted abunch more at the bottom, hope you like 'em .

barbara, thanks for poppin' in, he's doing great. i gave him a bath today and he seemed to enjoy himself. im going to send you a PM when i get a moment :wink: .

vickson420, thank you. i know it's been a while so i posted some new pictures and videos at the bottom. hope you enjoy them.

beardie parents, he really has made a huge recovery. i try to give him a happy life free of hardships. i don't do anything that might frighten him, like picking him up if he wiggles away from me. if it seems like he doesnt want to do something i try not to force him. im glad to hear he looks healthy in his recent pictures. i sometimes worry that people might think it cruel to keep an animal so severly damaged. there are some new pics/vids lower down, i hope you like them.

beardiegirlie, thank you very much for reading his story. it's true... i wasn't looking to bring home an animal, i just enjoyed looking at the lizards. when i saw him in the corner of that cage though, i couldnt see any other option than to take him. it was a rough start but that is pretty well behind him now . i live in the foothills area; around azusa, glendora, san dimas. anyhow, it seems like your pretty close. i'll send you a PM when i get a chance.

p.s. are you going to the anaheim convention? maybe i'll see you there.

i inadvertently caught him going to the bathroom. not pretty, but it shows how he does his business in spite of his disability.

in this video, he wouldnt give up trying to lick a white pebble imbedded in the cement. we almost made a game out of it :mrgreen: .

The little videos were great, love the potty one, with his tail propelling after he did his business, he doesn't need anyone to wipe him, just wiggles back and forth and its a clean sweep :roll: :wink: Love the pebble game as well, what a personality, thank-you as always

Good to hear you're both doing well even though you must be a bit tired working 11 days straight, the most I've done was 15 and I know I didn't barely know which day of the week it was lol. Love the outdoor footage....the rock game was great...he just couldn't resist his curiosity .
Lg is really getting around well and looks fabulous.

I just love that video! He is so cute and sneaky when he tries to be naughty! It's almost as if he's teasing you, so you'll pay more attention to him!

Is it me, or does he seem to be getting around much better now that you've redone his tank. It sure seems like he is getting around much more quickly than he was at first!
