sorry its been so long everyone, i've been really busy lately(which i guess is a good thing). i havent lost the internet yet, i've just been working so much that when i finally get home i just want to sit down and not think about anything.
i usually stare at the t.v. not following the show, just in a daze. hopefully i'll be getting a day off soon but for now, heres my update:


beardie osk, yes he manages his business pretty well as far as im concerned. i dont know how well i'd do in the restroom without limbs :roll: . ah the pebble game... i love it as long as its something he cant actually pick up. there have been a few close calls lately. today he almost picked up a stone the size of a small marble :shock: . theres just something about white things. he will wiggle quite a ways just to check out a white spot. if there are several in an area, he will spend minutes running from spot to spot lickinging them feverishly. thanks for commenting :wink: .

mummybear, thank you. to me, he looks better every day. i am really starting to understand the way he thinks and moves. i try to read his motions so he doesn't have to work too hard to tell me what it is he wants. about work, still no day off :| . as i said above: i suppose all that work is great, i just need to convince my body of that. the balls of my feet are killing me every time i stand or take a step. im glad my little one looks healthy. its good to have another opinion, since im such a worrier .

luvthydragon, yea i'm getting pretty tired. thats ok though, im trying to save up some money and since i have so little energy im not spending as much (gotta get up outta the house to spend money :lol: ). i got some more pictures at the end of this post. theres even a video, though its a bit shakey. thanks for your support :wink: .

beardiegirl, thanks. his colors look so nice under the sun. i love taking him outside just so i can watch his colors change. i got some more pics/vids up at the end of this post, enjoy :wink: .

denise, i agree. he seems to know how to get my attention. sometimes he fakes me out; he'll run toward a white fleck and when i get up to grab it he turns the other way and licks something else ! he's going through an exploration phase i suppose. i think your right; he is getting much faster. when hes on the cement he can cover 12" in a second, no joke :shock: ! he's finally learning how to work his little legs, it makes me so happy . oh, and dont forget to take a look at the new vid :wink: .

vickson420, yes its true: these little guys are tough. its sad to think that there are so many beardies being neglected... hopefully those people will either wake up or surrender their dragon to a person willing to love and care for it. personally, i hope to some day open(or at least help with) a reptile shelter primarily for beardies. that would be a dream for me. thanks for your support, hope you like the new pics .

I love to watch him get around. He seems so happy and well adjusted. Enjoyed his picts in the contest. Katherine insisted we vote for LG, of course I did. Keep the updates coming. Katherine (and Mommy) is addicted.
Congratulations on the job. I seem to recall you were looking recently? Sometimes getting what we ask for is rough. Hang in there. Hopefully your hours will get more sane.

Hi Jason!

The little guy looks really great, especially in that video? What was all the noise in the background throughout the video? It sounded like traffic noises!

If so, he must really feel secure around you. If that were any of my three while they were outside, they would be freaking out and giving me the beard because of all the noise! LOL Charlie gives me a full display if I even put him down in the grass!

Those are great! I viewed a previous video and the way he is with the white things is hilarious. I love the way he looks away for a minute and then turns back real quick for a little taste lol. He is playing games there! He looks amazing.
You're doing a great job, as always. I hope the work thing gets better!

Good to hear from you . Sorry you have to work so hard lately. I hope you are taking good care of yourself as you have taken care of L.G. because he looks fabulous. He is getting some real speed. As everyone else has said, he is really comfortable with you or he wouldn't be that active with all that noise and such....Great job.
The video was great. My favorite pic of that last group was the last one before the video.(where the background of cars is blurry and he is in focus and he is looking afar) He looks like he's ready to conquer (sp?) the world.

Thanks again for sharing his story and the updates. It brings a smile everytime!

:wave: Love the videos and pics, I especially like the way L.G. looks at you as you zoom in with the camera, as if to say, "Is that you dad, do you want me to pose?" So precious!

Sorry about your hurting feet, try to soak them in Epsom salts when you get home,(sorry, the nurse is coming out in me). Or better yet, now that you have a job, how about those electric foot bath massagers you can buy at Walmart, they really work. Of course, now that your working so much, I'm sure you are limited on having shopping time :roll:

MRSPALM3R, thank you very much. hes my pride and joy. whenever im having a bad day, i take him outside and watch him enjoy the sunlight and it brightens my day up. except for climbing, he cand do most anything a regular beardy can do. thanks again, hope you like the new pics.

barbara, hey! yes i've been tired but i finaly got my day off today! i slept in till 4 in the afternoon :mrgreen: ... it was great. i woke up, took my little one outside for longer than i intended(about an hour). i couldnt resist the look he gave me every time i reached down to scoop him up. he wiggled around abit and went to the bathroom. it seems like he waits to come outside to do his business, which helps me alittle... came back inside, took a nice bath(pics are at the end of this post) and cleaned his cage out. hope you like the new video, he's starting to really move quickly.

about his length, i'll have to get it tommorow, he's sleeping like a baby right now :mrgreen: . im not sure if he's gotten bigger, but you know how it is: when you havent seen someone for a while you notice all the little differences they have picked up since you last saw them. i'll try to keep you updated, and hopefully i'll be able to go to the convention still. its all up in the air but if i end up going it will only be for the one day. thanks again :wink: .

denise, yea my friends camera really captures his colors well. those are traffic noises, i live next to a pretty busy street. he's pretty steadfast. he only moves when i reach in to scoop him up, hes probably afarid im taking him back inside :roll: . i can even leave him on the ground and walk away to get a chair. when i come back, i can walk around to the other side of him with the chair and set it down... he wont flatten out, black beard me or even budge. yea, i guess he trusts me pretty well. i try not to bother him. sometimes i gentley stroke his arms or under his chin. i try not to do anything he might not enjoy, i want him to have positive memories of me after all. thanks again, hope you like the pics :wink: .

abi, thank you, he is doing great. how are your little ones? when are the vet visits again, tommorow and wednesday? hope everything turns out ok. the work is long but much needed. i cant complain since i've been so short on money lately. thanks again for all your support, hope you like the new pics and video.

mummybear, yes he is doing good. i've been working everyday but i still take him out when i get home to catch the last few rays of the sun. i was off today so he got a stronger longer basking session. i've actually been using the extra money to pay off things ive borrowed and purchased, nice to get that off my back though. hope you like the new pics :wink: .

luvthydragon, thanks for the kind words. he is looking good isnt he? i want to get some tile or a cement slab in his tank, he seems to move along best on that. i wonder if he would spen ll of his time there, only one way to find out. new pics and video of him outside in the grass again, enjoy.

beardie osk, yea he is a little photo star. sometimes he doesnt move alot but other times he cant sit still. about my feet :mrgreen: : i've been taking long baths at night lately... it leaves me pretty tired but helps with the pain. i just try to stay off my feet but ill check out those massage things. thanks for your concern :wink: .

this is his temporary home while i clean his cage. sometimes i bring him outside in here when i cant trust him not to lick everything.

i added a second fluorescent tube, though this one is just a "powerglo" aquarium light. i just wanted to make things brighter for him.

these next couple pictures are in my back yard. not as green but nice and bright.

i like the contour of his body in this one.

with my friends camera, you can actually see the color of his eyes.

he loves to scramble around in the leaf litter. im thinking about hand picking 20-30 dry leaves and baking them so i can put them in one corner of his cage. do you think he'd like that?

here is a video i took of him in the back yard. not to eventfull but he did show a couple quick bursts of speed.

after he got so dirty wiggling around the back and front yards, i took him inside for a nice long bath. i use a large eye-dropper to trickle water over his back and legs. afterward, i set him under his basking spot to dry. he seemed to like the now brighter set up.

He looks great, as always, and he looks so happy in that video. He can really move pretty fast when he wants to, considering his handicap.

While I'm sure that he'd love some leaves in his tank, I wouldn't recommend it, unless you put them in there "as is", and, if you do, make sure that you examine them carefully to make sure that there aren't any mites or anything on them.

Whatever you do, don't try baking dead leaves to sterilize them for him! You'll probably end up burning your stove up and setting your house on fire, as they will catch fire at a very low temperature because they're so dry!

Glad to hear you finally got a day off , I know what you mean about getting debts paid off it's a good feeling to know you don't owe anybody money and that you've managed to pay back what you owe.
