Lexia,Kinno,Bobble,Chimaira&Hadyn. Pictures

This is the story of how we got our two baby dragons. It all started when my daughter brought home a beardie the whole family fell in love with him. You know some teens get when they get moody *dont touch him hes my beardie* gah it hurt because everyone loved him and played with him fed him we all pitched in. She even go so moody one day she moved his viv to her room so no one could see or play with him. (girls and pms :roll: )So i made a thread http://www.beardeddragon.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=98235 * I want a BD for myself* i guess there was a few people who were in the same boat as me. Being a BD grandma is tuff! (She of course got over it and moved him back down stairs) I wanted to get one who might need a little more care or love thought first thing *rescue* I was checking cragelist daily not one bd post in the weeks i was looking. Then a breeder(DistDrag) posted on the thread letting me know he had 2 babys just hatched out that had small issues, one with a crooked tail and one with a leg that didnt work. They were the cutest things! I still had to get the ok from my hubby once he seen those pics he was hooked!! So he let me take them both! They were still way to young for me to get yet so we were happy to leave them with the breeder(DistDrag)till they were safe to travel. He kept us posted on how they were doing and posted updated pictures. The day came to where they were ready to be sent to us. Oh boy i was so excited i couldnt sleep and kept a eye out the window for them to get here! <-- that was me 10 fold lol I heard the UPS man drive up and i was out the door!

This is the one with the left foot that dosnt work(My hubbys) He/she dosnt have a name yet.

This is the one with the kink in the tail. I call her Roo short for Kangaroo.

Heres a comparison between Chimera and Roo.

They are both from the same clutch they are 1 month 1 week old and 6 1/2 inches long.

We will never let more than 1 of beardies to be out of their viv's at one time. Except for the 2 new babys just for a while so we can sit and watch tv with them to get them used to us. They both have their own vivs. I have to say ty to everyone! I have learned so much since i have joined! I dont think our babys would be as healthy as they are if it wasnt for all of you!

Its alot hotter than the middle one i just use a lower wattage bulb. The 45w flood works great or a 75 watt house hold bulb. Top cage 60 watt middle 75 watt and bottom 75 watt.

The nice warm weather has hit woot. Took all the beardies outside for hours of sun and romping around in the grass. Kinno tries to eat it. Roo and Lexia look around alot and soak in the sun. They are all still a bit scared outside. Id have pictures if the kids didnt take the cameras again

My hubby is thinking of making a curtian to put over the front of the viv so if they get scared by company we can close it when they are here, we don't want them stressed.

I actually have a little blind that I can pull down over the glass doors of Cam's viv. That way if it's after lights out but I still want to watch TV, I don't keep her awake.

Thats a good idea using some bamboo blinds to cover it instead of the curtian idea. Roo and Lexia get stressed when whe have company they start hugging their trees. They think no one can see them. They hide any where they can for a few days They dont like strangers fussy little girls :roll:

It was so nice and warm in the house and i was relaxing so i let the 3 boys out one by one so they could have a longer out of viv time. Well Chimaira has his route down pact. He decides to stop and take a look in Kinnos viv well boy oh boy Kinno wasnt having any of that today.


Chimaira came back for another peek Kinno hit the glass you can hear as he was headbobbing him hitting the glass.

Chimaira is a calm beardie never flares never blackbeards he loves to explore and I think since the viv is so new hes curious about it. But boy I have to tell you Kinno is a *don't mess with me* beardie. He is the sweetiest beardie he rubs on you and loves to be held and petted a real joy. I wouldnt trust him around the others tho just to be safe. We are going to put 4 inch legs on the bottom of the viv that might help. Chimaira and Kinno are both in shead atm. Moods might be off.

I went out in the back yard to plant flowers and pull some weeds I come back in a hour later and this is what i found :roll:
Roo tree hugging...

And even Lexia was tree hugging! :shock:

They both had stress marks. I think they could see me moving around in the backyard. :shock: We might have to move their viv if they keep this up. I took them out for some play time and they went back to normal. *whew*

Well Lexia has found her new fav place on her daddys desk :roll:

Shes watching Family Guy.. he set her down and she was walking around felt the heat comming from the dvd player and pancaked :lol:

I was walking around to check on everyone and i cought Lexia armwaving. So i ran and grabbed the camera and tried to get a video of it. She uses her arm that dosnt really work too it was so cute!



She has turned out to be a sweet little lap beardie im really happy for that because shes my hubbys and it makes him happy to have a little desk campanion.

Well this is a first for me.... Queen Roo decided she was gonna escape... when i closed her viv door i must not of closed it all the way and well she slid it open. I go in to check on them and for presents I didnt see her in there :shock: I hunted and hunter found her in her normal spot behind the dvd rack what a little turkey scaring me that way lol

Lexia has now cought up to Roo!

They do really well together out of their vivs. They sit on the branch and look out the window now days. I finally have them trained to eat out of a tub. So no more crickets in the viv. Still working on Kinno. Hes growing and looking so pretty after his shead.

We have been taking the beardies out as much as possible and my daughter brought in the 2 and took their picture.

Kinno is the same size as Chimaira except in with. Boy oh boy is he a growing boy :shock: They both get along pretty well Kinno tries and act all tought and will headbob Chimaira at first then they are buddies while they watch out the window.

Kinno's in shead in that picture other wize he looks like a bright pastel lemon. Girls call him a easter egg lol

Heres the babys viv now days. We have a trip planned to go get some branches up in the hills but its been bad weather lately so hopefully in a week or two that way they have some things to climb on.

Kinnos the only one alowed to have a hide because the girls hide in it all day if id let them so maybe when they get bigger i can get them one. They all love the plants i made them. Only cost me $10 for all 3 ferns compaired to $24 each one at the petstore. Gah they charge so much.
