Leela is our rescue; I've posted her story already. She is 3 years old but only about 12 inches long. When we got her, she was so pale, definitely malnourished, and a bit dehydrated.

Here she is on Saturday 6/6/09:

Aweee, she looks sweet. You are right she is small for her age. It's so great that you have her and are giving her a better life!

Thanks, everyone!

Leela is doing so well; it's thrilling! While I am sad that she probably won't grow in length anymore since she is technically an adult now, I can see weight/muscle gain and color improvement almost daily!

Last night we took her out for some family time - and she absolutely loves my daughter. I thought this was cute...it looks like Leela is telling Sam a secret!

She looks so much happier in the last picture! I'm so glad you were able to give her a good home. Keep us updated on her progress!

Since I have 3 cats, you know that Leela is a source of endless fascination for them - they will sit and gaze at her for hours on end, and it seems that cricket feeding time is more exciting for them than it is for her!

Not to worry, though; they don't scare her at all. In fact, she will sometimes jump down from her basking spot just to strut around the viv, head bob a little with her beard out, telling them they better not mess with her!

I only have pics of Raja and Baby w/ Leela to share; Addison hides when he sees a camera, but he spends just as much time Leela-watching as the other two.

Here is Baby peeking in on her:

And of course, Raja has to get a good look, too:

(I know her viv is a little boring, but I'm planning on redecorating soon. Since she was a rescue, I had to get all the essentials in a hurry!)

Leela is a DIVA....She puts J-Lo and Mariah Carey to shame!

She was NOT satisfied with the (apparently) sub-standard salad I gave her this evening. Keep in mind this was after she had a full salad this morning, then 2 wax worms & 12 crickets later on in the afternoon. She still seemed hungry at around 6pm, so I gave her just a simple offering of escarole and apples. NOT good enough, I guess, as she TRASHED that salad and paraded around the viv with a full black beard and angry glare!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
