For those that don't know about the story behind Itty Bitty this is a quote from one of my other posts.
For those of you that read my post in Z&W's thread skip down to below the page break.

When Z&W turned 3 months old I let my husband convince me to sell one of my beardies to make
an opening in a larger viv for Z&W. He said that we didn't have room for another large viv.
So I ended up selling her to our local pet store. I have felt like poop ever sense.

Itty Bitty was from the same parents as Z&W but the year before. She was a runt she didn't
hardly grow much until she was about 6 months old. All of the rest of her clutch mates were huge.
I kept her because I didn't feel right about selling such a small beardie.
Well after having her that long I was very attached. Every time I go into this store I leave crying.
I feel so guilty for letting her go and to a pet store.

The reason we will be making an appearance this weekend at this sale of the century of this
store is to get my little girl back.
Have you ever done something that you just wanted to kick yourself in the you know what over?
That you were so not proud of. That you so regretted doing.
Well it has been an entire year and she still looks at me everytime I go in like
"mommy are you here to take me home yet?"

I feel so guilty I am going to spoil her rotten when I get her home. I can't believe that I let my
husband talk me into it but that will never happen again. He has seen how deeply this has
affected me, it eats away at my heart, his too.

So I feel like my little family will be complete once again after this weekend.

I find it to be rather ironic she had to be sold to make room for Z&W yet it will be because
of Z&W she will beable to come home. (They really need a smilie with happy tears)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She is finally home after a year an I could never be happier than I am right now!
Itty Bitty is just shy of 18 inches total length and 9-1/2 inches nose to vent.
I haven't weighed her yet.
Itty Bitty hatched 7/21/06 parented by the same parents as Z&W.
These pic's don't show her beautiful color she has alot of orange, yellow and mauve.
When all was said an done today they did not want to let me have her back. :cry: :cry:
Even though the owner had already agreed to my offer.
I don't think he was aware at that time that she was his only
egg producing female. Sorry about your luck!
I guess you can see what a few tears will do. :)
Besides I wasn't leaving without her!
She ate like a pig when she got home. :shock:
She spent about an hour an a half roaming the house, she acted like she couldn't beleive she was home. :D
you can't tell me that beardies don't have a memory. :wink:
Wow! That is so exciting! I love that first picture. She definitely has a strong purple tint to her. And I love the tile in her cage, those colors are awesome together! I'm so excited for you Barbara, and I'm sure she would never hold a grudge against you hee hee. Especially since she is joining some of the most spoiled beardies in existance! I'm sure she is already so happy
Thank-you Kelsey!
Rocky was her daddy and Peaches was mommy.
Peaches was a very beautiful beardie she was vivid yellow and mauve, I had never seen one with purple before.
Itty Bitty was so happy to be home. She slammed about a dozen supers and a dozen roaches.
Then she ran around the house checking everythings out right down to the cats. :lol:
She acted like she was waiting for someone to pinch her thinking this must be a dream.
She has had only crickets to eat and veggies for a year she hates crickets poor baby. :(
And boy did she need a bath!
She was so excited to get one she hadn't had one in a year, she loves her baths.
Welcome home, Itty Bitty!!!!
I'm sure she's just as excited to be home as you are to have her home. The fact that she ran around the entire house checking everything out, including the cats, definitely means that she remembers and was familiarizing herself. How wonderful that your family is now complete. I'm so happy for you.
CONGRATS Barbara and Frank for getting Itty Bitty home where she belongs. Just the way she went through your home looking for familiar things, shows she belongs with you guys. Sorry the owner changed his mind, but glad you got your way. Sweetie and Lonzo say hi Itty Bitty :wave: :wave: :love5:
Thank-you Maxattack, Gina, Beardie Osk. LJean, Deborah, Jeff, and Jiffy!
It's such a happy pleasure to have her home. :D
She was my first special need baby not that she was really a special needs case but because she didn't grow for awhile she was the one that got most of the babying until Z&W.
She is such a lovable girl, she is so mellow.
I don't think that there's going to be much relocation stress here. :lol: Other than the fact that she has been so off schedule with lighting. At the store lights don't go on until around 11am and who knows what time they turn them off. Plus the 4x2x2 viv she was in was being shared and did not have proper UVB or warmth in my opinion. 18 inch uvb tube with a basking bulb on the opposite side, through a screen. When we took her out of the viv she was ice cold. I thought Frank was going to ring someones neck. :roll:
No wonder she has been looking so dark. :angry5: She is back under MVB now and basking nicely. She and the cats have reunited. For some reason she was always their favorite probably because she is such a sweetheart they never felt intimidated by her like with the others.
You should have seen her devour her salad this morning mustard green are a favorite green by all in this house. At the pet store their veggie are always the same chard, raddishes, and carrots. How boring is that!
I'm waiting to see a poop. (Can't believe I said that! :puke: )
I'm going to wait a couple of weeks before I schedule a vet appointment. I'm actually thinking of trying another vet, there is one I heard great things about that is about 45 minutes closer.
I'm going to go out to the ASPCA tomorrow morning to talk with them about taking their reptile rescues and for the heck of it I'll see who they recommend for reptile vets.
I was talking with one of their representatives about the guidelines for reptiles in store and found out that the reason that stores aren't forced to follow any guidelines for care of reptiles in our area is because the don't know how each reptile should be cared for at the ASPCA. So maybe this is a start for paving the path to make pet stores take proper care for their reptiles.
See I told everyone a long time ago I was on a mission. Because of Z&W I seem to get a certain respect from people that normally wouldn't listen. So with the help of Z&W we will try our best to have some changes made.
Gotta start somewhere! :wink:
Again Itty Bitty Thanks Everyone For The Warm Welcome! :love5:
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
