After researching, I would say no. There is a difference in the way a bd digests it prey and prey being the operative word there :mrgreen:

Unless you are certain of what that animal ate and what growth hormones etc were or were not used it would not be a good idea. Even *organic* *free range* does not necessarily mean it is a great thing :shock:

The bugs we get from reputable breeders (or breeding ourselves) allows us to know exactly what has gone into them therefore we know what we are putting in our beardies.

Yes, we sometimes feed chicken babyfood when they are a little ill b/c it is easier to digest with an upset stomach. That is just a temporary stop gap however. Their systems are *designed* to digest bug prey. Likely they would eat anything in the wild, but their lifespan reflects that. :)

Just some things to consider, but scientifically speaking, I hope someone else will answer in more detail. Also do not want to destroy their natural hunting instinct :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
