Is the reptiglo 5.0 ok?

i just got my beardie a few days ago and i got him a reptiglo 5.0 and i have read alot about how the reptiglo 10.0 are bad and i was wondering if the 5.0 was ok. he has a 75w sun glow as well.

I've only heard of the ReptiGlo 10 and coil and compact bulbs being bad. I think the 5 is ok.

I don't think the ReptiGLO 5.0 is strong enough use with a bearded dragon. The only reptiglo I've heard being recommended as decent is a reptiglo 8.0, and anything lower than that puts out less UVB. The most commonly recommended flourescent tube bulbs are:

ReptiSUN 10.0
ReptiSUN 5.0
ReptiGLO 8.0

Unfortunately the numbers aren't consistent across brands - for instance, the reptisun 5.0 is actually slightly stronger than the reptiglo 8.0 which can make getting this lighting stuff right a bit more confusing.

Catalyst is correct. The Reptiglo 5 is ok, but is very weak as far as UVB output goes. You can use it as lighting for extra brightness but you will need a Reptisun 10 flourescent tube bulb if you want good quality UVB output.
