Ok, so, let's say when I get my new beardie, I can be convinced to start up a dubia roach colony.

Until the roaches can get rolling, what do you suggest for feeding? Just go with crickets, or buy additional dubia for feeding?

I would get the roaches first and get them rolling off the get go. Best bet is to get as many adults as you can afford from the start as they are the money makers. Having a start off supply of small nymphs will give you feeders right away. Hook up with any of the roach ranchers and I am sure that they will supply a great startoff colony that will keep you from having to deal with crix until you get a sustainable colony built up.

That's a great idea, I wasn't convinced of using Dubia until after I got my dragons so I feed crix while my colony is trying to grow...Good luck!

You go girl!!!! I hear that keeping roaches is pretty basic (I just can't handle the adults..eeks!) Mojo refuses to eat them now that he has been introduced to supers.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
