I've been getting mixed answers on what the IDEAL temperature for the BASKING spot, the MIDDLE of your tank and the COOL side of your tank should be. Everyone share their answers please :)

Hi there!
I got alot of mixed too but I have my basking at like 97-98 and the cool; at like low to mid 80s (83-85).
Howver it at least has to be hot enough foe you're beardie to digest ^.^ so you're tank should reach 95 degrees at some point during the day. I generally feed mine near this time.

for younger and smaller dragons u want the basking surface temps around 105....some go to 110...i say 105 because that way if ur temps jump a little bit then it still wont be too hot...ya know? as for the cool side, in the 70's is ok...like 72-75 is ideal i think...if ur dragon is an adult, 95 is the minimum basking surface temp...adult dragons like it a touch cooler i guess...probably cuz theyre bigger and absorb more heat than a young dragon...cool side still 72-75...hope that helps!

K, well I guess I will go to a 50W basking bulb instead of a 40. There's no way I'm gonna get the cool side in a ten gallon to be 75 though.

Even though \\primo still young I'd get a bigger tank and at least a 60 watt bulb to do the trick, also in the enclosure threads you'll find alot of good ideas to make a tank by yourself! :)

I second the comment on getting a bigger tank. at least 20 gal for a baby and you can increase from there. 10 gal is not good enough to create a temp gradient for the baby which will be important for his/her entire life-span.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
