Hello,

#1 question i have for you is have you really though hatching the eggs though. lot of costs and time and work involved and I want to make sure your doing it for the right reasons. do not expect to make a penny hatching beardies, unless you have the deepest and newest color morphs, it just wont happen.

with that said,

In my slightly edcated, personal opinion, unless your going to need a huge incubator and are going to be incubating a ton of eggs, just buy a hovabator from lllreptiles.com i think it's like 40 bucks for the inc. and 50 for a kit. (I'm gonna get the kit, my bro wants one of my babies when I hatch some so I told him if he buys me the inc. he can take the pick of the litter lol)

if your a hobby breeder just doing it to feel the joy of raising a baby, I suggest not incubating the entire clutch, I personally will not be doing an entire clutch, I feel I only want about 5-10 babies, that is enough for me to get the feel and still be able to sell or give away the babies to good homes (or reputable pet stores in the area). If your doing it for a hobby and then I assume it's your first, I suggest you start small so you do not overwhelm yourself. :D

some on here may disagree and that's fine but I prefer to see smaller quantities of quality dragons that are breed and handled properly to a ton in a tank that are starved for affection. (those of you on here that are breeders i am not talking about you i see how your customers love you here!)

hope that helps you a bit, lol
I don't mean to offend anyone just don't like improper breeding is all.

if you are bent on making one I'm sure i can dig up some plans for you, but the materials would almost cost as much, especially since it has to be moist, last time i built a duck egg incubator i spent 35 bucks lol. science project when i was like 16. i got an A+ lol. (im 27 now) Oh yea and if anyone wants to try their hand at that, it's a lot of fun and they are really cute (follow you around like your the mommy or daddy duck) but 14 ducks are MESSY!!!!!!

I rescued a beardie and was told that she is pregnant, I dont want the freeze them i would rather try to save them all including her. I have read a couple of thing that said you could use a Styrofoam cooler is that true ?

I have used a styrofoam cooler to hatch bearded dragons just about a week ago my baby dragons hatched with a 100 percent hatch rate what I did was order heat tape and covered the bottom of the cooler with it and place a container with water for humidity everything was pretty cheap to built the only expensive part was the thermostat to hold stable temperatures, so I would say that styrofoam coolers work

Do you have a picture of what it looked like? Can i use heat pads instead as I dont know where to get heat tape and cant order it online. Also how big of a styrofoam contain do I use and how much water? I just want to make sure I do it right.

I can't post pics up right now because I am on my phone but to answer some of your questions I am not to sure about the heat mats but I am pretty sure they will work it's the same concept as long as you can regulate the temps and for the water container all I used was a disposable water cup and I just cut it half and filled it up. For the styrofoam cooler I bought the biggest I could find which was able to house 30 bearded dragon eggs it's all up to you on how ou want to set it up

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
