I finally found it!!!

Ok I have this really cool aligator that is about 36 inches long from nose to tail. I'm thinking about putting it in Kashets new viv, (when I get it built).

What do you all Think :?: Be honest. I really want your all's advice :idea:

Ok we started on the viv this weekend

The plexi glass is in the front. We chaged our mind about making the front open. We thought it would look better this way.
We are going to put the opening in the back instead.

This is with the aligator in it. I think it might take up to much space. Viv not finished yet. Still have to finish the back. I don't think you can tell the plexi glass is in it from the pics.

This is the wood for the back.
We will probally have our two legged daughter paint a scene on it, (She is really good)

If the alligator doesn't bother the beardie, I don't see why you can't use it.

He doesn't seem to mind it. I was worried about it taking up too much floor space though. You don't think so :?:

It is low enough for the dragon to run all over it, so don't think it would matter the space it takes up. Unless it gets in the way of your using a food dish or something. Would be more like having a rock or branches on the ground in the wild.

You might be right. I think it will look cool, especially if Kristi paints a swamp scene on the back and sides.

How old is Kristi? My daughter is 10yrs old, not the best artist, but loves to do projects like that. She painted the background for Calypso's enclosure.

She is 12 years old and is dying to paint Kashet's viv. Oh I will take pics. I can't wait till it's done

Ok it's almost finished I just have to put a sealer on the back and sides then my hubby will put it together

My twelve year old daughter painted it. I was hoping it would look more swampy, but I like the way it turned out. I'm very proud of her.

By the way, I ended up putting it together myself. My Hubby just didn't have the time. There is vent holes, you just can't see them. This will be his first night in it.

Thank you Kashet seems to love it I changed the bright white heat bulb to a black heat bulb. He seems to like it better.

From what I've read, the black heat bulb and other colored bulbs aren't the best choice as they can actually hurt the beardies eyes. I might be wrong but I would suggest looking into it.

And remember that you dont have to spend all the money on those pet store bulbs, the ones you buy in the grocery store work just as well provided you get the right wattage.
