It says that they need to have around 30 percent humidity, but the average humidity of my area is around 65. What do i need to do and what are the side affects if i don't?

Simply having the heat lamp in your tank and bringing the temps up to where they need to be should be enough to lower the humidity in the tank a bit.

Have you tested the humidity in your tank with the lights running for a few hours?

yes, the eco earth im using for substrate for the moment holds moisture very well so i assume that it will be another week or two before that dries. got loki last sunday, he is already letting me pet him and keeps licking my hand and then climbing around on it (with my hand on the bottom of the tank) like a jungle gym, shud i pick him up yet? he also falls asleep on it if i leave it in there long enough lol :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

If you are housing on eco earth I would remove that..

You don't want to be using any type of loose substrate in your tank.

Woodchips fall under the loose substrate category..

Good substrates would be tile, repticarpet, NON-adhesive shelf liner, NON-adhesive linoleum, paper towels, even newspaper.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
