How to Wash Sand

I was wanting to put sand on half of my tank and was wondering how I am supposed to wash it

sand harbors bacteria plus I don't think you can wash it

I would go all tile it's safer and less of a hassle to deall with

Yea you really can't wash it. It's basically changing it out once a mth to do it right. Sand is a huge pain in the butt to be honest and like the above poster said can harbor some unwanted things in it. I recommend against it.
