How many Dubia Roaches will my 2.5 year old dragon eat a day? A month?

At 2.5 years, your bearded dragon should only be eating live feeders every third day or so. how many depends on the size of the dubia and how hungry your dragon is, feed him as many as he can eat in a 10 to 15 minute period. At this age, his diet should primarily consist of greens.

He gets his salads everyday but he loves eating live feeders daily as well.

Daily is too much protein for an adult dragon, the ratio should be 80% greens to 20% protein. Typically what most people do to achieve this is offering salad daily and feeding live every third day or so.

Okay, a lot of what I read was that if the dragon is hungry and wants it, than why not? I will do a bit more research on it though. Thank you for all the help on all of my posts!

I agree. The adults will go for live feeders a lot but that can lead to obesity. They are naturally opportunistic feeders but in the wild they don't necessarily get daily access to bugs. As their metabolism slows and they don't need as much protein, it's best to offer them mainly a wide variety of veges. As long as he's getting a nice, varied salad regularly he will be fine. I offer bugs to my dragon every couple few days but it's not on a set schedule. Keeps him guessing a bit rather than falling into a routine in which he expects the bugs.

What different vegies do your beardies eat? I have been giving my big guy collard greens and squash... He doesnt seem interested in it at all.
