I'm getting my big boy and little girls pheonix worms. The male is about 19 inches and about 11 months old. Aproximately how manny worms do you all think that he will eat in one sitting?

I would venture to say the 19 inch male would eat a rediculous amount of PWs as they are pretty small. My Dragon is 9 inches and eats about 40 mediums per sitting.

Concur. You might find your big guy can eat quite a bit. Also, because they are so small and tasty, beardies tend to gobble them and occasionally this can cause difficulty in digestion (important for them to chew each one), and big beardies eating small worms can definitely play a part. If this happens, this thread is reassuring, with some very helpful hints and information, Dr. Phoenix himself weighs in):

Our girl is about 10 inches and eats approx. 50 mediums a day (she's been eating the mediums since she was about 6 inches). We're switching to large next time around, but as I hear it, they are only slightly larger than the mediums. :D

Best of luck!

i ordered alot, 300 because there was a special deal were i got umn. Iplan on mixin them in with his salad so he will start eating it again. when i switched over to roaches from crix he decided that salad wasn't as good as meat. Go figure. i'm still gut loading the roaches so its not a big deal but i would like it if he would eat more greens and let my roaches breed lol. I HATE CRIX....little buggars squeak jump and excape. i really hope the worms and roaches make a good rounded food source between there mustard greens...thanks for the input!

We're having some good success with the PW/Veggie mixing over here. Our beardie is quite anti-veggie but I've been pushing the "moving salad" as of late, and she's actually starting to seem like she might even sort of "like" the veggies, eating some withOUT a worm attached. LOL Then again, I think she may have figured out that if she eats some of the greens, she can see the PWs better. In either case, she's eating greens so I'll call it a success!

Best of luck. Hope your dragon takes to the PWs, and the salad!

i know most people are extrea,ly over protective with their dragons and will probably tell me "don't do that!" but i feed mine dandylions because they are high in calcium. my little girl eats them like they are candy so i would assume that they love them. the only down side is i pick umn out of my yard. people will tell you that there are little mites and all sorts of bad **** out there but...dragons were orriginally wild animals. they lived outside.Sand, real food, real wood (cleaned of course) and of course trips to the real world are all parts of my dragons lives. Over protection in my opinion will make a weak dragon. They will have no immunitys to anything just like when the europeans took over north america, all the indians just died from our diseases. well im done ranting. good luck with your moveing salads!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
