Hornworm question.

Can hornworms be fed as a staple?

Absolutely, but I would not feed my dragon ONLY hornworms (and veggies).
1. Larvae in general have higher fat contents than adult insects.
2. My digestive system wouldn't do well on a semiliquid only diet (those worms are mushy). He/she needs some solids.

I would use them to cut down on roach loss if i was you. Frank is totaly right.

What type of solids could I feed along with them? I've been feeding him crickets and phoenix worms but I really hate the crickets

If he is big 15+ inches then do supers and salads, crickets, phoenix worms etc...

I hate crickets too!

I just started my Dubia colony, so not feeding out of it yet. I feed Maxx......supers (small ones), hornworms (one a day), and salad.

Lol, what? Roaches are illegal? Is that only in Alberta or in BC as well? Oh dear, I really hope that's not the case (not that I have roaches or anything, but if I ever decide to..)!
