Hi, sorry to hear that your beardie had some serious issues going on. It's good that she's doing better and that you took her to a vet. So, he gave you some Baytril to give her, what is the dosage? Did he give her a shot of Baytril too or something else? That's good that he gave her a calcium injection and from your description, it sounds like he gave her intravenous fluids too. I noticed in your other thread that you were using calci-sand, did you remove that? If not, I suggest you do that right away and can replace it with paper towels for now as that will be much safer. Giving warm baths will help with an impaction as well as massaging gently on her right side from armpit to vent area. If you feel any hardened lumps, massage very gently in a circular motion to try to move it closer to her vent so she can pass it. How long has it been since she pooped? Had she been ingesting a lot of sand?
Did you turn the MVB off to help her recover from the strong ultra violet rays that affected her? The close distance before could have been what brought on the seizure. Are you just using the ceramic heat emitter for heat now? You really shouldn't need a 100 watt CHE and a 100 watt MVB, that's an awful lot of wattage for only a 40 gallon tank. It would be a good idea to leave the MVB off for a few days to help her recover and to replace the CHE with a 100 watt household light bulb for now.
As LJean said, she should be on a probiotic like Benebac, Acidophilis or soy yogurt while she is taking the Baytril, otherwise the antibiotic will affect her appetite and could cause her to be nauseous. Please keep us updated on her.
