heat bulb

I know you have to replace the uvb bulb every six months or so, right? Do you have to do that with the heat bulb, too?
Also, is it bad if the uvb is on top of the screen lid as opposed to on the inside?

Nope, heat bulb if for heat only. As long as they are lit, they produce heat.

UVB tubes need to be replaced every six months because they will produce less UVB the older they are.

As far as I know, MVB bulbs do not need to be replaced until they burn out. If they are producing light, they will produce UVB.
