Whats the best way to house hatchlings? Would a larger rubbermade tub with the proper lighting be suffice? If not please let me know!

hey, I am new to this forum but, I have been breeding for 2 years. I use twenty gallon tanks to put about ten together in, I know they say to put five in one but, I have had any tail nips. But, thats my way of housing babies. :D Also yes you can use rubbermaids but they have to be big like a twenty gallon or bigger.

yea the less number of babies you can put in one enclosure the less likely to have nips...but also feed them generously and keep a salad in there for them to munch on at all times will help too.
I've used glass and rubbermaid both, either is fine

What's the LxWxH dimensions of the 20gal. you're using? I'm fine with inches or metric. Thanks! RW

20 gal longs work great, or you can get a 40 breeder and divide it into 3 sections. there are a ton of different ways to house babies, no one way is right or wrong, personally I house 6 per 20 gal...30x12.5x13 inches.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
