Gravid but no male?

Yep. Adult female beardies can often lay infertile eggs (sorta like chickens). Do you think your beardie may be gravid?

Aw thank you ever so :)

Yeah she's being weird! I've gone ahead and booked her into the vets for an hours time, thought it best she see a professional who can confirm it!

Thank you so much for responding though, felt dead silly asking the question!

I have more questions!

Just read that post you linked too (very useful!) Just a question though,

If she is gravid, and I have to get her to lay - do I do this and put all the sand in her vivarium or do I put her in another tank? I only have one heated and lit tank, could I build her nest in a box and then put it inside her viv for warmth?

I think the laybox needs to be in a separate enclosure. I think a lot of people just use a large rubbermaid tub, and attach a heat lamp to the side of it. What you could do is, when she starts glass dancing and digging around in her viv, take her out and put her in the laybox and move her heat light to it while she's in there. If she doesn't lay you might be able to take her out and try it again later. I don't know how long it takes for them to lay all their eggs, but I doubt it's more than a couple hours. Hopefully someone will come along and back me up on this, lol.

Good luck! :D

Just an update!

We are back from the vets who informs me I have a very bright, strong healthy girl :) He says he can't feel any eggs and is not concerned about her behaviour so to just keep an eye on her and if I am worried at all again, take her back in and he can x ray her.

He offered to x ray her tonight but I decided to keep my £80 and bring her home as he said there was no urgency as she is healthy.

SO RELIEVED! Thank you again for your help!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
