Going to stores

I'm going to over the summer months. Right now on the east coast its waaaaaay too cold for beardies. Mine is also so young right now and I want to wait for her to get older. I've definitely seen others taking their beardies with them into Petco and Petsmart.

Does anyone ever take their beardie into stores with them? Whether it be Petco or Target or where ever else?

I have not personally done this. Some stores might not like you bringing your dragon inside. Petco or Petsmart would probably be okay with it, but others may ask you to leave.

I brought Gary into Target with me last night, haha.
He had lots of people staring at him but I had him mostly covered up anyways because I wanted him to be warm. I have a feeling Target isn't too strict about animals because someone brought their small dog in as well.
I don't know why a store wouldn't be okay with someone bringing in their lizard, that seems kind of ridiculous lol. They're quiet and wouldn't hurt anyone.
But yes, I do know Petco/Petsmart is absolutely okay with animals of course. :)

We have taken Angie to Petsmart, Lowe's, Home Depot, Kohls. She is welcomed everywhere we go and always say they can't wait to see her again.

In fact, we even take her to the car dealership where we bought our Subaru when we get it serviced and they posted pictures of her on their website. :)

Illegal here. Only allowed to take pet lizards to reptile shows or the vet here.

Beardies are not going to enjoy such an experience , it will be extremely stressful for them.

I'd trade it for being able to provide them with natural habitat by opening the door to the back yard.

Amen to that. I'm looking forward to the summer - I plan to build a hutch and let him bask in the yard in safety and natural sunlight. I can't wait.

I can't wait either. Winter is rough for them. I love to be able to provide lots of natural sunlight when possible. Our lighting really doesn't cut it yet.

LOL, you don't know Angie, she LOVES it! I could tell you things that you would not believe. She even loves power tools, the louder a noise makes, the better she likes it. In fact, when in Lowe's and she hears one of their fork trucks backing up, she leans while in my hands because she wants to go to the aisle where they are to watch them. She sits in my hand with her head way up in the air with her brightest colors on & her eyes are sparkling!

She is a very social beardie, loves adults & kids fussing over her. She even turns her head from side to side while customers get out their phones to take her picture.

She loves watching my husband mow the lawn with the lawn tractor and tilts her head waiting for the grass to come flying out when he goes past us. If I try to bring her back in when he is still mowing, she moves her whole body forward to let me know she wants to continue watching him.

These are a few things off the top of my head but there are a LOT more.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
