HIIII!! How are all of you?? Haven't been on in a bit because Ellie's doing fantastic!! I was wondering have any of you ordered from here? Do you like it? And any coupon codes please!!! Lol thanks everyone!!!
I've never ordered from Ghanns, but I am a repeat customer of Linda's Gone Buggie. Great feeders of all types and they always arrive alive for me. My beardies love them! And they have great value and combo packs.
I ordered 1000 crickets from ghann's and they delivered a great product. I was especially pleased that the sizes of the crickets were close and hardly any dead crickets.
Love em. They are the only people I've used since I got Reptar. Never had any dead on arrival, and they last a long time. I highly recommend them
Though they started using new crickets that I don't like as much as the regulaer ones they have
My only complaint is the last batch I ordered from them were 3/4" and they were mean! They were extremely active and bit me everytime I picked one up. Luckily I freeze them so now they are dead and frozen...
I bought from Ghanns and also had mean and crazy crickets! Never seen crickets jump like these guys!!!! I have been ordering from flukers recently the only probem is they came lst time with worm things I heard they were to clean up after the cricket poo and I also heard they were a problem with flukers cricket food. I didn't contact them about it just didn't feed them to my guy. I get 1000 for $28 from them 13.99 for the crickets and 14.75 for priority over night
I think I might try flukers next time, these things were crazy mean and yes they jumped like crazy!
Yes I gutload them for 24 hours and then freeze them. I use little deli cups with lids and then put those into freezer bags. Then I take one deli cup out and keep it in the fridge so when I am ready to feed I just dust them with calcium or vitamines and feed them. I freeze about two weeks worth at a a time. As far as nutritional loss, do you eat frozen food??? I am sure whatever is lost is replaced by the fresh greens I feed daily and the vitamines I dust with. The protein stays the same, there may be some moisture loss but I usually spray the salad with water so he gets plenty of liquids.
That's weird..the last batch I had was quite different too..but the opposite.
They looked completely different than the usual ones I get,so I was under the assumption that I had recieved the banded crickets..after emailing them, they replied back saying that I had gotten the same crickets I usually do..These new ones were not active at all, smelled ALOT worse, and were very light in color.
This new batch I just got was alot like the ones before Nice and active, and non-agressive
I didn't even think to email asking what kind I got, I know they are trying to use up some breed that was more expensive to breed and are working on another kind (banded?) I am not sure.
I like the idea that flukers includes a worm that eats carion? That sounds nice. It's always a pain transferring the crickets to a plastic bin and then trying to clean all the poop out with crickets running up my arms, biting, and trying to jump out. If i had little worms to eat their poop, well that would be great, but then what happens to the worms poop? lol.
Ok, only 1 more inch until my guy can be on supers full time....
