Getting startled

Hi, I've had Draco for 2 mos. and he's close to a year old. For the last week he's been getting startled and running into his cave at any sudden movement. Is this normal?

He may not be used to human contact. How often do you handle him?

I hold him every day and he's very calm and relaxed, it's just been the last week that he's been startling so easy
