Getting another beardie?

I already have one bearded dragon we have had for almost two years. I was wondering everyone's thoughts on getting another one and what are some things I should do if I do end up getting the second beardie.

If you get a second dragon, you shouldn't house them together. You'll need to pick up a second tank, furniture, and lighting. A lot of folks on here have good experiences with multiple dragons, but everything (including cost and care time) is duplicated.

Thanks, I have another tanks and am aware of the cost I just wasn't sure if there was anything that special other than those two things that I needed to do.

I don't think so. If you have the extra setup then It's just a matter of making sure you have the time to work with each one individually. Others on here who have multiple dragons can probably give you some specifics about their routine.

I have two!! Many here have more than that!

My older one is a year old and was in brumation when I got new new baby so for me, so far, it's been easy. Forgot how much little ones eat!!!! She goes thru 50 crix and 15 phoenix worms PLUS greens a day!

As long as you can care properly for both of them...go for it!!! My older one (when awake) goes with me everywhere and is quite the town celebrity!! She loves every minute of it. I'm hoping at some point they can be out together, but I know I can't count on that.

If you get multiple beardies, I recommend starting a dubia roach colony. Just get it going then get your next beardie so you will have food for it. I have two bearded dragons and the work is pretty much double.
